Semantics of a Sole Proprietorship

What is the least pretentious, most descriptive, and most concise way of saying you're an internet marketer?

I've been running into the problem of describing to people what I do. I don't really like explaining it because most people don't really get it, but I also don't like saying "I sell stuff on the internet".

Sometimes I say I'm in marketing.
Sometimes I saw I have my own business.
Sometimes I say I run a website.

I think I prefer to say that I own a business, but that always leads to, "What kind of business?". Well, when the products you promote range from software, to health and beauty, to electronic books....it's hard to describe.

Plus, is there a difference between "having", "running", and "owning" a business?

What would (do) you say?

How about this Nathaniell.

I help people make a buying decision through my Internet blog.

What do you think?

Edwin

I would say business owner. And having, running, owning is similar. Now! Running could be someone else’s business

does semantic mean synonym. i was searching through latent semantic indexing and came across this. by the content you have provided i am getting the idea that semantic mean synonym.

Latent semantic indexing is like related words. If your post is about pizza then "dough" could be an lsi keyword. In this case, semantics means something like "different people using the same word to mean different things". Is doesn't have anything to do with lsi.

I say I mind my own business, unlike you lol
