How Life Experiences Can Help You Profit Online
As many of you know from my previous blog post, I'm in the middle of moving. Well, the move is basically done, but there's a lot of work to be done at the new house, some of which I'm doing myself, and other work I'm contracting out.
Basically all day I'm thinking about how all this stuff could be the basis for a successful online business. I'm constantly looking online for how to do something or how to fix something. YouTube and bloggers are very helpful, and many times I end up ordering things online.
For example, there are some fruit trees that were planted at the house, but they had some weird cracking in the bark. I found out this is called "sun scald", and it can be repaired or treated by wrapping the damaged area.
So I ended up buying some tree repair paste and tree wrapping materials to fix the trees based on advice I found online.
But my inspiration for writing this blog post came from the sod installer today. He installed a sprinkler timer and sprinklers along with the grass (in previous days), but we finally got the timer hooked up today. It's a new style that comes with an app called B-Hyve.
That means I (and he) can control my sprinklers from my phone, from anywhere in the world. Pretty cool right?
It would be pretty awesome to have a website dedicated specifically to installing your own sprinklers and grass. It's a simple enough DIY project that you don't have to be an expert to do it, and there's enough to talk about that you could write about different types of sprinkler styles, timers, grass, and other plants forever!
For example, should you have your fruit trees and decorative trees on a different timer schedule? YES!
How often should you water newly planted sod? Are there different types of grass to choose from? How to repair any sod that's not setting down roots? Where can you rent a trencher and how do you operate it? How do you water grass in a drought?
These are all questions that could be the basis of interesting blog posts, and of course, there are lots of products to order online, especially since now technology has changed even how we water our grass.
Anyway, it just goes to show you that ANY website can make money. Keep your eyes peeled for ideas of what new website you could start or what new ideas you could incorporate into your existing website!

Great post Nathaniell, it just goes to show that there are opportunities EVERYWHERE. Thanks for highlighting this.
Nathaniel I have done a bunch of tree work on our farm and I really like this tree sealer I use it on fruit trees and olive trees squeeze out a little and use the brush that is actually part of the cap area
Interesting! I used the one in the can that you have to open up and scoop out.
The brush doesn't get all gummed up after the sealer dries?
I'm not quite at farm level there, but am getting there. We have about 8 fruit trees that came with the house, and I'm planting 8 more next winter!
