The waiting process for a new blog to start getting traffic can be frustrating. Typically a new blog will not see much traffic until the 6 month mark, IF you consistently blog about topics that have keywords your site can rank for.

But what if you want to start generating affiliate commissions a lot sooner than that. In this blog post I will show you how.

Soon after getting started with my affiliate marketing journey, I took a course called "Posting on Purpose for Profits".

It introduced me to a concept that I applied, and I was able to generate my first sales online. I followed the simple steps that it introduced, and I managed to earn my first commission in less than one week from taking the course.

The concept the course was simple; leverage high authority websites that have a lot of in-house visitors and rank very easily with the search engines. I am going to share with you a sample of the websites that will get you sales faster than your blog.

1. Facebook Pages

Facebook Fanpages can rank on the Search Engines, as well as inside of facebook, and if you do some keyword research you can hook a page that gets engagement every week, without even having to run advertising. If you are a new visitor on this site, you can get a free trial of Keyword Research Tool called Jaxxy, when you sign up for a free account on this site.

If you do create a page, look for a keyword that gets a decent amount of traffic, and then structure you page to offer what your audience is looking. Finally make sure that you encourage engagement (Likes, Sharing, and Comments), in order to increase the reach of your page.

You should also include a Call-To-Action, to visit your affiliate link, whatever it may by, just make sure it is closely related to the page you created.

2. Instagram Profiles

Like I was saying before about keywords, you can find a keyword that your target market is search for, and register it is the username for your profile on Instagram as well. It will rank on google, and it will have more visibility on Instagram as well.

Now, be sure to add your affiliate link to your profile, because you are allowed to have a website. And make sure the description of your profile is a call-to-action to check out the link. Lastly, make sure that you follow all the rules and guidelines for Instagram marketing in order to gain more reach on their platform.

3. YouTube Videos

Youtube Videos are a really easy way for you to get started getting more traffic to your links. Simply put, they get indexed and rank a lot easier, and faster than blog posts, especially compared to a newer blog.

The key to building one that will build engagement is to focus on providing valuable content your target audience is searching for, and asking them to "thumbs up", share, and subscribe to your channel if they like what topics your channel is about.

Also make sure that you ask them to visit your affiliate link in every video, and write it in the description as well.

4. Pinterest Profiles and Boards

Did you know that your Profile, Images and Boards can also get ranked on Google as well?

Google LOVES Pinterest, and is far more likely to give top rankings to a Pinterest board than a small website that doesn’t get much traffic or engagement.

As with what I was saying above, the key to making this work is to apply some keyword research, make sure you name the profile, board, and pins, popular keyword phrases that get traffic people are searching for.

Lastly don't forget to link your pins back to their corresponding affilate link so you can earn a referral commission.

Final Comments

I hope you took some good ideas from this blog post. But here are a themes that I want you to take away.

  • Create a complete profile as much as possible. It makes your profile look professional.
  • Pay close attention to the keywords that you use when creating your profiles and posts on these sites.
  • Always ask your audience for engagement (Likes, Shares, Subscribers, Pins). This will boost your organic reach, even over long periods of time.
  • Use a call-to-action to click your affiliate link in every post you make. This is how you will make money anyway.

Throughout the years I have noticed that some websites have come and gone on the list of sites that will rank. What sites have you noticed are ranking on Google? Join the discussion below and tell me what other sites are ranking well on Google!
