Personally I use Jaaxy for most of my keyword research, but I have had the opportunity to use several others that find keywords that nobody is going after, but get some really good traffic.
I'm going to be discussing the top keyword tools, that nobody has ever heard of, but I have uncovered that will give you an edge over the competition.
1. Question Samurai
This keyword tool was developed by the same individuals who created the popular software Market Samurai and Content Samurai (also known as Vidnami). Question Samurai gives you questions that are popularly asked about a certain topic. These questions are Super Long Tail keywords that nobody is going after, but definitely get a substantial amount of traffic.
I came across this tool several months ago and I have tested it out a few times. This is definitely a peculiar keyword tool because instead of running off of keyword data is runs off of Google Trendds.
During my tests I was about to create 2 blog posts and two videos using the keywords they suggested. Every single piece of content has been a BIG winner. Ranking page one and giving my content a ton traffic. I highly recommend it, especially for finding keywords that Google Keyword Planner, Jaaxy, and Bing Keyword Planner have no data on yet.
3. Google Search Console
Once you have built out a decent amount of content on your site, Google Search Console will provide you with a substantial amount of data around the keywords that you are ranking for, and the keywords that are giving you the most traffic. Regardless of whether or not you were actually targeting those keywords.
I think you'll be surprised what you find.
4. Money Robot Keyword Tool
Although this keyword tool doesn't give you much info in terms of search data, If I need to generate A LOT of related keywords FAST, it really comes in handy. If you put in a keyword it usually comes up with 800+ keywords in about a minute.
In my opinion, you can use some of the keywords it generates as tag ideas for your blog posts.
How I Would Use These Tools If You Are Getting Started On Wealthy Affiliate
When you get started assembling a portfolio of keywords, you should look for at least 100 keywords to start, Jaaxy should be the main keyword tool that you use, but I also recommend using Questions Samurai and Trendds to come up with 20% of your keywords. And target those keywords first, before you target keywords from Jaaxy.
Once you have established a decent amount of content on your site, use Google Search Console to come up with additional Keywords that you can target. The Money Robot Keyword tool can be used to come up with Tag ideas for your blog posts.
