Hi There ,

I just had a few questions I'm transferring my Domain from another hosting site and when I went to do so I noticed WA wanted me to pay 13.99 for the domain i

As others have mentioned if you already own a domain I wouldn't transfer the registrar to WA unless it's cheaper here.

If it's not cheaper just go to sitebuilder and transfer a domain name you already know. That will remove the process of paying for the domain name and let you host it here for free.

You will need to change your DNS settings to point towards WA though, which can be done easily. Just google whatever provider you're using and how to change DNS settings and you should get a detailed tutorial.

I should have checked the comments before, but it usually takes less than 24 hours. But if it takes longer you may need to put a support ticket in with site support.

First, you shouldn't have cancelled the transfer process. All what was required was a bit of patience from your side and everything would have gone smooth. And don't worry, money paid for failed transfers is automatically refunded, so you pretty much lost nothing. Check your billing information in the account settings to check for that.
Now repeat the transfer process once again but do not cancel anything. Should there be any problems, WA will notify you about that. If you are having any problems, contact SiteSupport and they will take care of it.
Hope that helps and good luck! :)

Will do thank you!

If you just bought your domain with other registrar, I personally do not recommend you to transfer your domain to WA as you need to pay for another year's subscription for that domain. Meaning you need to incur extra costs.

You might want to just hosting here in WA which I simple process. Just change the DNS of that domain to WA's DNS.

Now, I think you have paid for the domain subscription fee with WA. You can confirm that by going to your profile > Account setting > subscription - and confirm if you have paid for the domain.

OH Darn wish I would have known that before hand. Thank you for your guidance I will follow the steps listed above!

I just did as you instructed and its in the pending transfers. The status say's start transfer in gray not green. Do you know generally how long it takes for the pending transfer process to complete ? Thank you again for your helpful advice!

Is it new domain? Or there is already website built on it?
If it is a new domain, I would believe it should not be long. But if there's already website on it, in my case it took about a week! LOL
Lesson learned!

Always in touch with support.

Hi there ,
I'm walking through my training for lesson 6 and I notice on my word press admin page I do not have the all in one SEO bar available on the back end of my site,

Glad you figured it out! In the future if you don't see a certain option in the backend of Wordpress go to the top right corner, and you'll see screen options. That will open a drop down where you can add more options to be available on the screen. Next time you run into an issue like this that will most likely be the fix!

Brok

Can you show me what you are referring to? If you have the plugin and it's activated that's a great start.

Hi Cramervod !

I figured it out one of the plug ins didn't active for some reason so I just went in and deactivated and reactivated it. Its fine now that you for reaching out to help!:-)

Excellent I am glad you found the solution. :-)
