Yes, using the blog here at WA is a perfect place to track your progress. Then the community can follow along and help you along the way! Lots of people do this.

Yeah. I would keep your WA blog pretty specific to WA-related stuff. Things you observe, learn, experience, etc. General thoughts on affiliate marketing too. I'd probably leave your blogs about Jenny and the kids, taking Rufus to the vet, and how you won the neighborhood poker tournament to your personal blog or website. :)

Well my idea was to track my physical progress in WA and track my thoughts and emotions about it too....although there is a comical little Jack Russell around with stories to tell....(just kidding)

Your blog here can be for just about anything, honestly. I think writing about personal progress is probably the best use of the blog system here, as they serve to motivate and inspire both you and others, as well as give you a reliable way to check yourself and ensure you are staying on track.

I'm more interested in primarily creating products and selling them...they are professional meditation and hypnosis mp3's. I guess the marketing process is similar to affiliate
Even with a site selling your own products, there's still no reason to "not" add a few external relative products. Multiple incomes streams can really boost your earnings :)
You're right about that. I'm trying to figure it all out - if I can do all of it on one website or if I need 2....
You're probably best sticking to one for the time being, it can get quite overwhelming taking on too much at once.
The process of marketing them is pretty much the same. You just need to get an ecommerce plugin for your site and can use paypal to process payments (even credit cards). But the idea of writing content, doing social media, etc will all be the same and you can learn that here in Wealthy Affiliate.

Yes.......slowly it's coming together in my mind.....my thoughts are reorganizing the initial overwhelm slowly.

As a product owner you have a bit more responsibility, such as receiving payments and delivering the product (for downloads), refunds, customer service, etc.
It's not enough to have a product. It's not enough to have a website. Whether it is your own product or an affiliate product, you will need to master how to drive traffic, including search engine traffic. Without traffic nothing happens in your business.

What actually motivates me in this business is the fun of creating my own products to sell ( hypnosis & guided meditation mp3's as
I'm a hypnotist/ hypnotherapist).....I love writing creative scripts, recording MP3's and shooting videos. So cool!
