While reading about rss feeds, i came to know there are quite a few auto posting plugin available (both free and paid) for wordpress which use rss feeds to post content to our

It's possible for sure, and I know the sites that do it. I get extremely mad with them because they pull content from my sites too & I've seen them pulling content from the sites of many other WA members.

Put yourself into the shoes of the person getting their content stolen. Would you be happy that someone ripped your work? I imagine not, so don't do it - regardless of backlink or not.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I understand your point of view and don't worry I won't do it..but w.r.t. the question... I wish to understand the nitty-gritty behind workings of such websites like how they survive in the web with such a business model and how they end up making money from it.

It's only a guess (maybe wrong) but I assume "google search" and "Google Adsense" will flat out reject/will not index the site with only "Content via RSS feeds".

Hence, my doubts are like::
1) What are their traffic sources if not "search traffic"?
(maybe it's paid but if so how they earn back their investment hence the second question)

2) what ad networks offer monetization to such websites?

3) How they survive and also emerge as an authority on the web within their niche without getting penalised/taken down?..etc..

Hope you get the idea...that's why I asked as an example if I do it where is the legal line to be drawn, how legal it is? I very well understand, just because a group/majority of people do something that doesn't make their action right/legal.

Thanks again for the reply.

Have a nice day.

1) they work on sheer volume. So even though their sites may appear poorly in search, because they appear in so many places they can still end up attracting a relatively decent number of visitors (though Google has massively cracked down on sites running with sheer volume over the years).

2) there are plenty. Example, there's nothing stopping them signing up to ClickBank and dropping a few banners on their sites... A site can always find an easy way to monetize.

3) they'll never emerge as an authority

And if they're copying content that the owner didn't permit them to copy, it's flat-out illegal.

Example, I go in a store and buy a TV, then you take it from me. You can't then just use it and say "this is Dale's TV" to make it all OK... It's still stolen.

Hey Dale,

You are soooo right about theft of content. I discovered 1 IP address had visited my one website 34 times and we were only halfway through the month, back then.

The plugin I was using has now been deserted by the developer so I had to let it go... but now I use a RSS feed plugin that redirects people to the actual post... so, no more RSS feed available on that site anymore. :-)

From your WordPress settings you can actually just switch it so that it only displays a summary in feeds - you might want to look at that, then you can consider dropping the additional plugin :)

Thanks for clearing up the doubts, much appreciated.

small doubt...." summary in feeds" are they A.K.A excerpt/snippets....are they same or different??..pls.kindly clarify.

Summary in feeds will display an excerpt in your RSS feed rather the full post :)

Hey Dale... Thank YOU for helping me reduce the need of yet another plugin!

thanks...

In youtube training video in bootcamp course there is a tutorial explaning how to do keyword research for video and check the "competition of other video platforms for the keyw

Hi,
Just do your normal keyword research and look for something with little competition.
Google loves listing video content, so if you can find a keyword that doesn't list any video content, that's a great one to use.
1. Find your keyword
2. Enter it into "search analysis" in Jaaxy
3. Look to see if there's any video content listed in the top 10
There you go,
Suzanne

✨👍💲😊

Hi! Ok, you got the answer! Cheers!

Florentino

You're not missing anything that function is not in Jaaxy anymore

ah...I see ok then is there an alternative available for the video keyword/competition analysis?

Free is first priority, paid is second.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
Have a nice time.

You really dont need anything - simply do your keyword research as per usual - the results of competition is good for both Google and YouTube.

ok, got it..thanks.

The analytics verification training is old and the new one is asking something like "analytics.js" should be in head section, edit permission should be enabled for verification

Isn't it awesome that there are people on here 24/7? You're obviously working at opposite times that I am, lol.
So happy to see you got help and everything worked out.
Cheers,
Suzanne

thnx...have a nice day

Thanks, everyone for the help...figured it out and website verified.

Thank you again.

Awesome!

I trust they have answered you very well.

yes, they have

issue resolved.

Thank you

Excellent! Wishing you great success in 2020.

thank you very much.

wish you the same

have a nice day.

Please see the below information on Google Analytics, verification of website in Google Search Console and Bing webmaster tools. Let me know if you have any issues.

hi thanks for the reply I saw your post, I also chose URL option pressed continue chose GA verify method then clicked verify got msg. "failed"

1. Your homepage must contain either your analytics.js or gtag.js snippet.
2. Your tracking code should be in the <head> section of your page.
3. You must have the “edit” permission for the Google Analytics property.
The Google Analytics tracking code is used only to verify site ownership. No Google Analytics data will be accessed.

These steps have been asked by google before verifying how should I get it right

Good to know your website is verified
All the best

Can you provide the exact verification string they're looking for you to add? Oddly enough, when I went to add my property to Search Console, they wanted a string entered into my domain record. I had to have SIte Support do that because we don't have access to them.

If your verification requirement is to add a line to the header of your site, you can use a plugin like Headers & Footers to get the job done.

1. Your homepage must contain either your analytics.js or gtag.js snippet.

hi, thanks for the reply this is what they asked...anything I should do before verifying.

So it looks like they provided a snippet that you need to paste into the code of your home page. If you use a static Home Page, you can do this pretty easy by editing the page and pasting the code in.

As for the head stuff, use Headers & Footers to address that.

there are two options domain and URL if I use domain I need DNS verification can I ask the site support to do that for me as it needs access to hosting account (cpanel, etc.)

ok, small clarification they are asking me to add (analytics.js, which I assume is the GA ID that starts with UA-***) or to use the Google tag manager snippet which I don't have.

So, assuming they are asking for the GA ID as mentioned above to be pasted in the header section of the website?

If my assumption abt "analytics.js" is right can I try it out.?

what's your opinion.?

and also what abt. the third point regarding "edit" permission? where and how should I enable it?

Should it be done in dashboard or GA account settings?

Hi Sathyanarayanan,

1 video for you to watch: Typical Buyer keywords:

1. Product (Brand) Name + Review (e.g. Wealthy Affiliate Review)
2. Best of or Top (e.g. Best Training Course for ...; Top 10 Training)
3. Comparisons (Product A vs Product B) (e.g. Click Funnels vs Builderall)

Hope this helps.

Thanks your insight is helpful.

Hey Sathyanarayanan,

The keyword training offered here is step by step training. See screen print below to see how you can access the training...

Hope you find this helpful.

i think you need to revisit the training by Kyle of the purchase lifecycle.
you have three main sections of purchasing.
1 awareness of a problem - now you do research into what can be done for the problem, what can be used, how it can be solved.
2 awareness of products - you now are aware that products can be used to solve your problem, but don't know which one is the best solution.
3. you are aware of which one is the best solution and which one you are searching for - you are now looking for the best deal.
buy it.
there are keyphraseswhich people use in each stage - the secret is in finding them.
Kyle does give some of them away in the training, so revisit it and learn what to look for in your keywords.
just remember you need to have all three on your site, so that it doesn't just look like a sales site, it gives helpful useful info as well - so go through all three parts of the buying cycle.
good luck
phil

thanks for the reminder I do remember reading the purchase life cycle. will check out again.

Hi, I want to know how can I add other third party/widgets from other sites to my own site. I want the step by step walkthrough of how to do it in WP back office/admin login?</

Hi Narayanan, I see Triblu has left you a guide. I am sure this will work for you.

All the best,
Michael

Hey Sathyanarayanan,

There are several tutorials available here on WA to assist you with creating/using your WordPress widgets. See screen print below...

Hope you find this helpful.

hi, I tried them but couldn't find what I want which I mentioned in the above message, any clarification anyone can give is much appreciated. thanks.

Hey Sathyanarayanan,

I've read through your response but still do not know exactly what it is that you are trying to do. Perhaps you could provide a screen print of what you want so we can better offer you a suggestion.

Hi, I'm working with widgets on my site now, so this is still fresh in my mind.

Have you already installed the 3rd party widget? Where are you and I will assist as best as I can.

No, not yet I haven't installed I tried to do it but my site kind of turned into a mad chaotic page so ended up deleting them..decided will install after getting some details
My site is based on a finance-related niche, so I need to add charts, live rates,etc..

My main concern is I want to add certain widgets to a whole page like the charts I mentioned above. Any idea in this regard?

Any help you can offer with widgets is much appreciated.
