For Jay's webinar: "Hello: Canva"

Missed the live event, but did this after watching the recording.

It's the first thing I've ever made in Canva.

I wanted to post it in the comment section of the webinar, but it showed up too small in both (linked) "view" and as an attachment.

I sure hope Jay has a sense of humor, lol.

Edit: I apologize for the tiny print. It's an infographic, so too wide to fit fully inside WA's image width limitation.

Hi, Carol.

Do you love Canva? I can't make up my mind whether I like it or not. (It doesn't do what I currently need.)

But... since GIMP confounds my every effort to learn it, maybe I'd better reassess my needs, lol.

Thank you. The pics are just screen shots from Jay's webinar - taken wildly out of context. ;-D

I have tried several things on Canva but do not seem to be able to work out how to post them anywhere! So, like you, I'm not sure, Sharon

I don't know how to post images directly from Canva, either. I hadn't thought to even look for that possibility, since my image was just for fun, and just for here.

What if you download the images to your computer first, then upload them from there? Does that work out okay?

From what I can make out they download to your account into Canva

Hi, Carol.

I poked around Canva some more this morning.

If you'll tell me what trouble you're having, I may be able to help.

Thanks, Sharon. How do you save it to your computer so as to use it in WA's Add Media

You're very welcome. :)

When you log in to Canva, you'll be on the "Create a design" page. If your saved files aren't displayed, click "All your designs" (in the left menu.)

Click the file you want to download. It will open in a new page and, on that page, you'll see buttons on the right side of the top menu ("Share," "Download," and "Order prints.")

Click the download button.
* A box will open. Choose what type of file you want to download it as (JPG, PNG or PDF) and click "download."
* Another box will open, saying the file is being preparing for download. Once the progress bar is full...
* ... a third box will open. "save file," okay," choose the location (on your computer) you want to save it to.

If I've misunderstood what information you need, let me know and I'll try again.

Yup, the bar has been raised, indeed! Nice job, Sharon! Reckon I know who to go to for a quick lesson or two... (-;

Thanks, Randy!

Absolutely - any time you want a lesson in how to mess up so badly you have to start an infographic from scratch 3 times, just let me know, lol.

Fortunately I know you pretty well and if it took you three tries to get this thing up and running there was some pretty good learning involved and I better be askin' for your help... LOL!!!

Any time, Randy. I'm always happy to share what I learn. :)

I'm countin' on it... (-;

Well done, Sharon! Canva is a great tool and you did a great job...hard to believe it's your first one.

Thanks, Sue!

I've been playing around with a simple version of paint .net* for years, but this was my first time using Canva. It was pretty fun!

Hi, Mary!

True, and true. I just wasn't sure if the "homework" applied to late arrivals. But, I really wanted to try Canva, so did it anyway. :-P

Sharon

oh yes, homework is for everyone and you've maybe got yours in before some of us who were on the call - well done - the bar has been raised on this project :D

Thanks, Mary!
