You also need to have an Affiliate partner to add links, Nancy!

Jeff

Yes!

Hi nancydarnell
Where are you up to in your training? I believe that the training goes into adding links in level 4 (not there myself yet) Don't try to jump forward yet, just follow they training and everything will come together

You can add ads, or links but moderate. Your site not only focus on ads or many links. Maximum of 4 links every post. Focus on helpful content, engaging, enjoyable to read.

Edilberto

Adding it where may I ask?

If I change Domain Names will I lose My web Page I have Worked so Hard On

I hope you get it sorted out, Nancy!

Jeff

Oh dear, even I wanted to change the domain name of my website as the present one has dashes, which makes it look like a scam, for no reason at all, except general perception.

But general impressions are what count online.

Thanks,
Aps

I had to change mind early on in a dispute but it was all fine and site support sorted out my transfer to my new domain , I've just kept the old one in place as advised. I hope that helps, Phil

It depends, if you are changing from one URL to another, it can hurt. What I would do is leave the old site in place and write a solid .htaccess doc that simply forwards users to the new domain. The article attached explains how to do that.

The big thing here is make sure you test every page after you put this in place. If anything on your site is using a full domain linking URL instead of relying on a base somain, it can cause some broken images and links.

The other thing to keep in mind is any backlinks that point to your old domain. Contact the site owners and ask them to correct the links to point to your new URL and you should be good. This will also help keep Google happy.

But if you put in the time getting this up and checking your content, you shouldn't lose any traffic. Keep Google Analytics on the old site, and once the website is down to an acceptable, close the domain and move on.

Sean

You can ask support to help you with that, provided you have already got the newer domain.

However it is always good to back up before you do major changes, you can use All in One Migration or Updraft plugins.

Keep in mind, site support do keep up daily back ups.
