Two Steps Forward and One Step Back
Like many of you, I have a day job and fit my WA work in where ever I can. The labor day weekend gave me a chance to go through a couple of training videos I've been wanting to get to, improve the appearance of my site, and apply for Google Adsense. Their response arrived early this morning...turning me down. I either don't comply with their "program policies," or "adhere to the webmaster quality quidelines." Or, maybe it's both. The problem with their explanation is that it's so vague. After reading through their material, I have no real way of determining why my site doesn't meet Google Adsense expectations. I'm not sure that I care. I wasn't really sure I wanted to go that route, but went ahead and filled out the form thinking when I did decide, it would be ready to go.
Now I'm left wondering what others faced with Google Adsense rejection have done. Is this a valid commentary on my material, or is it just a bump in the road? Your comments will be appreciated.

I had Adsense before on one of my sites and found that I never really earned much. It was far more profitable to use other ad sites and eventually, just affiliate marketing.
