Hi,

Never done this before! Just finished the beginner's training and spent this week creating my very first blog posts. Please tell me what you think. Am I on the right tra

I'm not experienced either and not sure what to suggest, but it looks engaging to me at first glance. I can tell you worked hard on these, and you come off as knowledgeable. GL w/your website.

Hi Naomi you have a great start to a nice blog, I love art, I only wish that I could afford some nice paintings. Maybe one day I will be able to buy some art. Have you considered wrapping the pictures with the text? Sometimes it looks a bit cleaner and not so much white space, here's a explanation https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/working-with-images-in-wordpress-posts. Very good start and good luck.

Thank you, I'll do that, I had no idea how!

You get it!!
Nice clean design, easy to read, engaging title and content...

You do have quite a few links. What you might want to do is review these books if you will be referring them a lot. That way you can link to the review page of the book on your own site and only have links out from the review pages. It looks cleaner and you get the chance to keep the visitor on your site until they are ready to actually make a decision if the book is for them or not.

Great start!

Veronica

Awesome suggestion... I absolutely LOVE books so this could get dangerous haha! Thank you so much for your input, I will definitely include reviews of some of my favourites, helps justify the purchase ;)

Hey, I left you some suggestions on your comment on my profile. The site is looking amazing and I think you have a great niche with lots of potential.

Thank you so much!

I love art Noami and can appreciate the beauty of it..your blog does look really nice and good start with content.
I shall be following you if you don't mind, to see your blog as the finished product.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. Follow away haha, I don't even know what it means yet!

Hello Naomi,

First off, I have to admit that art is not my strong suite and have a very limited interest on the subject per se however I admire anybody that possesses a passion in their lives, in your case it happens to be art history.

Now, going back to your blog/site, I have just visited and think that you have done a stirling job so far, you are definitely on the right track with your content and encourage you to pursue further with more quality content to give your reader lots of opportunity of getting "lost" in your site.

There is one thing that I have found that it could be improved upon and that is your font and size of your font, I know it is a tall ask at this stage to get it right but it is something to consider in the future.

Thank you so much, I will try to find out how I can make the font clearer or bigger! And will do as many posts as I can now it's up and running.

Hello Namiki,
I think your blog is fantastic! Great job!
Are you sure this your first blog? I don't know it looks too professional!
Seriouslly, I really love it! But. then, what can one expect from an ARTIST??
A job well done!
Welcome to WA and just think... You're already a success!
Best regards... Jay

Thank you, yes it's my first blog! I'm putting quite a lot of effort into it though, I really need it to work!

I think you're on the right track. I think it looks pretty good, but I'm not that experienced yet. Not sure about the affiliate links, but a member should be able to shed some more light on that.

I like how your site is laid out, and the title of your site. :)

Thank you, at least it looks okay at first glance! :)

I like the way it looks and your writing style is so easy to read :)

Just wanted to second what Edensbox said, it is very easy to read and keeps you curious to read more.

Oh good, that's fantastic to hear, I really want it to be simple to understand. I hate jargon and waffle.

If using Amazon affiliate links, should I use the Amazon.com site or the one specific to my country (UK)?

You will want to use the one specific to your country. However, here is a very good article that you should check into.
