Dropshipping in Africa is quite challeging!

I think dropshipping is great way to make money online. It has a low starting cost and the income is what you want it to be.

Let me remind you the rules in dropshipping. It is simple, find a product you want on one of the biggest online mall( mainly aliexpress), present it in your website. Present it it better in a SEO friendly manner and you can put the price you would like, the basic price in X3 the initial price.

Once a client purchase in your onlne store, you transfert that order(using the proper software to pick products and place orders) to your supplier and the supplier will do the rest....meaning pack and deliver the products.

Now here is where it gets very difficult to run a dropshipping store in Africa. The payment method commonly used is PayPal, but in some African countries you are noe allowed to withdraw money from your PayPal account.

Now the normal process should be , you receiving cash from your client via PayPal and you send it to your credit card or debit card, in order to transfert the order to your supplier. So, if you can't withdraw money from PayPal to your cards, how do you process??

I am quite tired looking for an alternative, do you have one for me?

Some advised me to rent a PayPal account. I did not know such thing was possible, is that even safe? Others told me to get a e-citizenship from a european country, that will domiciliate my business and help me get all the necessary bank account and all.

Gosh! I really like that business model and I live in a country where the online word is not completely known, but the e-commerce is starting to grow at a very slow pace. I would really like to take advantage of it.

So, any idea is welcome, I will take the time to choose what suits me the best.

Thanks

Let's hope so. Thanks

your welcome

Hope someone knows your answer.

I hope so too. Thanks

I don't have that problem, but it;s good to know just in case.

Yes, it is

Hello Nadia, which country are you trying this from?

from Congo

I'm in Ghana and we aren't in the list of countries accepting PayPal either but I've been able to set one up and it works just fine.

There's a tutorial on YouTube by a Ghanaian on how to set up a PayPal account in Ghana.

I'm assuming the same principles will apply to you in Congo.

Check it out here: https://youtu.be/SwnA9J1wP74

Maybe it'll help.

do you receive money in your local cards?

Not exactly. I requested for a Visa debit card from UBA (you should have one in your country) called the "Africard".

Its basically a card linked to a virtual account. You don't need to have an account with UBA to get one. You simply go to any of their branches and request for one.

It is this card that is linked to my PayPal account. Once I receive money through PayPal, I simply withdraw on to my Africard and cash out at any ATM near me

ok, let me check the video.
And yes, I see exactly the UBA card you are talking about, I hope it will work.
Thanks

Alright. All the best
