Did you go for a very broad audience, such as technology, or did you concentrate on a smaller niche within that audience, such as gaming, for example? Do you think targeting mo

I had trouble finding a niche when I first started. I thought technology was a good one, but then I tried to narrow it down. Personally I recommend you try to drill down within a subject to find a niche.

For example-

Our subject is Technology--->Gaming(1st drill down)--->RTS Gaming(2nd drill down)

So as you can see, with those 2 drill downs we have found a narrower niche, and you could take this further also by perhaps choosing historical or futuristic RTS games.

Your next step would be to research interest in the niche. I would recommend using google trends to see what the search volume is like.

Hope that gives you some idea.

Oh and welcome to WA :)

Hi Mat,

thanks for your reply! I started out trying to target moms who want to work from home, but then I decided to at least make my domain sound a little more broad. I still plan on targeting moms on social media and in my reviews, because I think its a great niche where lots of people are looking for opportunities. But I left an open door if I decide to go another direction since I am still very new to this.

Thanks for the welcome and all the best!
