Hello MykG,
WP spam shield is given to us automatically if we are using them as our website host. So I would use the Akismet plugin. See what some of the other Associates think that may have more experience than I. Good Luck

Hi Mike,
Up to recently we were using WP-SpamShield but we no longer need one on our WA sites. Carson recently announced that our sites are protected by SiteProtect so spamshield can be removed. Here is a link to Carson's blog: SiteProtect - Spam Blocking Measures Added to Your Websites! Have a great day.

I'm using the Omega theme and I enabled comments for the pages in the theme customize section.
You have to go into your dashboard click on your blog post then click on (Edit) inside the blog post...Then Click on (Quick Edit) ...Check the box that say allow comments.. Then you should start seeing comment for that particular post. ..
I have theme Seventeen. How do I get comments to show with my posts? They show in my back office area but not on the post in real time. Also, the spacing between paragraphs is not showing either. Do you know what I have to do about that? Maybe Wordpress is having a bad hair day?
Is Quick Edit inside theme Seventeen? I don't see it anywhere, but things seem to hide from me on a computer, so please tell me where? Thanks
In your Wordpress editor make sure you have ticked "allow comments" in the settings tab at the top of the page.
yes I checked the comments box on each page, it shows up in the editor but when I go to my site there is no comments box at the bottom of the pages.
Hi, As John indicated, you should go to Settings then discussions and check boxes 3, 4, 7, 9, 10, and 11 going down the page. Once you have done that make sure that you go to the bottom of the page and click on Save. While you checked allow comments on each page/post, the settings govern what happens globally on your site. Your discussion settings might be a little different than mine so just make sure that you allow comments on the discussions settings.

Thanks for that info Joe, now I know why the support team removed it when I got the error.
