The Success Process

Hello Everyone,

Let me start off by wishing you health and prosperity for 2018!

I know we all have a plan or a vision towards our success. Naturally, what determines the outcome is the implementation of those plans and the creation of that vision!

I just listened to Kyle's December Live video and as a part of an assignment, my task is to say write 5 thins that I learned from it. Truth be said, I learned more than 5 things, however, I will write what I consider most important.

Let's begin!

We are here at Wealthy Affiliate with one main purpose in mind - creating a source of income - and one way of getting started is by building a website.

This in itself is something great!

With the viral world we live in today, 'fingers on a keyboard' is fast becoming a way of life!

And in order to 'keep up with the Joneses', it simply makes logical and virtual sense to establish an online presence. That being said, here are the 5 points that resonated with me:

  • being an authority in any niche
  • the process of success
  • the qualities of an expert
  • helping people is an asset
  • branding yourself

Being An Authority In Any Niche

I realize that we all need to spend time deciding on what is the best choice of a niche in order to build our websites - it is no small feat, however, one that we need to spend some time researching so that we will make the best choice, and more importantly to be able to deliver and remain focused in making it the best once we have found it.

Of course, we are not always an 'expert' in the niche to begin with, but over time, we will rise to that status. We will get here because we will continue to do research, and improve on our past, thereby making our future even brighter!

The Process Of Success

Being successful is a process. Being an online success can be achieved with:

  • a sound foundation
  • constant and participating traffic sources
  • monetization of your website's content

It is a simple guide map to get you started and to keep you afloat so that you can get to that 'ultimate' place of making your website a constant source of income.

The Qualities Of An Expert

This is ever so important in creating any business. It is not only about being an online presence but it also about being an entrepreneur - a business person (if you will). There are some basic qualities that you need to either acquire (if it is not your natural forte) or improve on. Here are a few that should be basic (in my opinion):

  • your mentality - your mindset or your predetermined emotional set point in what you plan to achieve
  • being a problem solver - the willingness to be a source of the solution and not the cause of the problem
  • avid researcher - technology advances every day and you need to be aware of its pace and doing what needs to be done to stay abreast with it
  • trustworthy - you have to be able to be a source of trust and confidence so that people will look up to you
  • patient - there is nothing such as an overnight success, things and events take time, so rushing the system is not an option and the sooner you realize it, the better the journey of your progress

Helping People Is An Asset

I know that we are all trying to make the online world a source of monetary remuneration, however, we should not lose sight of the FACT that people make the world go round - as the songwriter said. When we help people without a primary focus of the monetary gain, it is not only refreshing but you will build up 'karma points' in the eyes of the Universe and it will reward you abundantly...and who knows, throw in some moolah along the way.

Helping people should be our primary focus as we build our business. It is about building relationships, the bond, and the unity that comes from a good relationship will take you places in life.

Branding Yourself

Yes, we all have a brand. Whether we realize it or not, our website is a reflection of our interpretation of how we perceive things - it our viewpoint, our opinion. We choose to share this viewpoint with the world and in doing so, it makes it easier to remember us and what we represent. So, remember with every content that you contribute to building out your website, it makes a statement about who you are and what you stand for.

My Conclusion

I learned a lot from Kyle and I intend to put in action the tips and tricks and I know that my journey to success is determined by what I choose to implement and maintain.

I wish success for everyone in the community and remember, success is a journey, not so much a destination.

Namaste

Hi Michelle, I really enjoyed reading your points about Kyle's webinar. It's fascinating how we all started with the same video and we all took away slightly different perspectives on the same points. I loved that. On to the next assignment!

All the best,
Sue

Yes indeed, Sue. Isn't it amazing? See you around campus.

WHOA!!! I think I'll have to watch that webinar again! You nailed it, Mee! I especially liked who you broke down "The Qualities of an Expert"; I remember Kyle mentioned that there's no need to fear the "experts" because each and every one of them started with a clean slate just like many of us, and that one day...we will be that expert!

I may just delete my post and share yours, lol! Outstanding!

LOL...Mizz Vee, you are too funny...hang on to your sense of humor...it is TRULY who you are...your brand!
Thanks for your kind words and we will be in touch.
M

I'm glad yo think I'm funny, Mee, but I am TOTALLY serious!!!

I feel and ACCEPT the love, Mizz Vee!

Hello Michelle, I think your points really are super! It is so vital that we remember we are in a people business. And isn't that a joy?

That we get to bring solutions and honor connections? What more could we ask for?

And you said it so well..it fills up our hearts at the same time! It is such a win win!

I hear what you are saying that is is up to us to create ethically and with compassion all our content. And take responsibility for it.

I really enjoyed your take on the 5 things. Thanks for doing this. I wish you overflowing joy and abundance.
In peace and gratitude, ariel

ps. so glad we will have the chance now to connect more!

Thanks, Ariel. Your words are a source of motivation. And, yes, I look forward to our networking. Continued success to you and always.
M

thank you..and to you..its a lovely new day indeed!

Great recap of the video. Kyle did a great job presenting a lot of info, and it really shows in the way that different parts of it spoke to different people, but I am really glad that pretty much everyone is homing in on the fact that *people* are at the centre of this.

I worked many years in retail and while some people look down on that as "not a real job", I always thought that it was a pretty honourable thing; people would come to me with certain needs and I would do my best to see that they left my store happy. It's the same thing here. If we can help people find what they need, that is awesome, and it will translate into a successful site for us.

Absolutely, Craig. It is all about the 'people factor' when all is said and done. People make the world go round time and time again.
Customer service and people appreciation in any business is a deciding factor on where your business takes you!
Much success on your journey.
M

Well said Michelle and like you I came away from Kyle's teaching with more than 5 points. If I watch it again I bet I can find more that I missed too.

Craig

Yes, Craig. I listened to it twice and I am sure that I could find more things to make notes of!
All the best for the New Year.
