My Book Review
My Book Review on 'To The Grave On Empty' by Josh JB Bowen
Hello Guys ‘n Dolls!
How are you doing today? I hope well.
Today I would like to briefly summarize the content I learned from this powerful little book that was our reading material for February 2018. In our group, so far, we have received reading assignments for both January and February.
First of all, I did not quite know what to surmise from the title itself, let alone the contents. It would soon be revealed!
Basically, the book is in the form of a motivational article – by mentally not letting ANYTHING stand in the way of being all that you can be while you are here on earth.
The author’s theme running throughout the entire book is one where you have given your all while you are living and then you will feel fulfilled because you can truly say that you are empty when you would get to the grave. He uses some marvelous quotes to further amplify his point.
Here are a few which tell his tale:
- You don’t drown by falling into the water, you drown by staying there!
- Do not seek validation in others, for you only need your own approval.
- So often times it happens, that we live our lives in a chains and we never even knew we had the key!
- Every single thing that has happened in your life is preparing you for a moment that has yet to come.
And what have I learned, it is easy!
My lessons from this book is:
- You only have the gift of life for a season
- If you can do a little good each day unasked, your grateful monitor will shatter its base
Once my life is over and others reflect on it, they WILL say that I went to my grave on empty because having read this book, this will be my goal!
Are you living you life in a way that you can say these words?
Have a great week.
Namaste
Michelle

I do believe I'm giving my all in life. Doing my best to be as kind as I can. Loving with all my heart and giving care and compassion from my soul. I'll let others be the judge of me.
Hi Michelle
WOW, thanks for sharing!! I've written the name down and will see if I can get hold of the book!

You're welcome, Sharlee. It is an easy read and you can get it on Amazon and Kindle (for free), but it is refreshing to see it from someone else's viewpoint indeed!

Michelle, thank you so much for this book review!
The quotes are so true, I absolutely have to read this book.
Do a little good each day.
Helping people we meet on our way.
If it's only by giving a smile,
and talk for a while.
You leave a footprint in their mind,
by being helpful and kind.
:-)
