Happy Friday!
Hey there dear Peeps,
It has been a while since I 'popped in'...and here I am... I hope everyone is doing amazing. I just want to share a book that I am currently reading -
The ONE Thing: The Surprisingly Simple Truth Behind Extraordinary Results by Gary Keller with Jay Papasan
Reason - well, he debunks a lot of myths that we somehow seem to take as 'truths'...and the one that resonated to me most was this one...
'Multi-tasking' is something that you do 'alternately' versus 'simultaneously' - which is what society has boiled this word down to mean. Our brain functions BEST when we focus on ONE thing at a time. For example, if you are hunting for rabbits and you try to shoot two in one go, guess what - you won't even catch one!
Aim for one rabbit at a time and your odds will be way better...just an analogy... I love rabbits. But you get the drift.
This is a great book and I HIGHLY recommend your checking it out and I KNOW it will change some of society's preconceived notions.
If you like, send me a PM and I can also get you a PDF of the book.
Namaste

Good evening Michelle,
We girls are very good at multitasking. I do it every day. I have something easy on the box in the background while I am writing a post and then between talk to Michae. The end result is not bad I think.l
Of course, when I focus on only one thing it gets done a bit faster.
Greetings from the south of Spain,

Hey there T,
Yes, we can do multiple things at different times and simoultaneously, however, it's the importance of each task which we need to decide on and give that one task its due.
Have a great weekend and say hello to M too.
