A Few Words Of Advice
Hello Guys 'n Dolls,
I hope you are doing well in all the ways you possibly can.
Today, I just want to tell you about what happened to me and hopefully you can learn from my experience.
I have been having a love-hate relationship with Youtube and they removed one of my videos and then now my channel has been suspended. I have made an appeal so we will see.
The thing is this, most of my articles have a Youtube video link embeded and now they are all not good. I have to be going back and editing the videos from my uploaded files.
My advice, when you create videos, upload them from your file to your articles and then upload them to Youtube. Do not use the Youtube embed code. Yes, you want your videos to be viewed and your articles read, however, you don't want to have to edit all your hard-work if Youtube decides that you can no longer be friends.
Of course, this is my experience. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas, I would love to hear.

I believe when we want to start a Youtube Channel is better to gather as much information as we can on what we can do or not.
Sometimes their rules are pretty weird, however we're using their platform so better apply to them.
Youtube like Google constantly make changes, so better stay up to date.
I haven't start a Channel yet, however, I believe having a presence on Youyube is a must.

Thnx for your thoughts, Calvin. And you are so right - they change the rules as they go along sometimes, however, we are the ones using their platform and so we need to comply to their 'whims and fancy'.

Sorry to hear this. Back in 2017, I did a YouTube channel and uploaded a few videos. One of my videos (with no affiliate links at all) was suspended after a while and I appealed and it was reinstated. Since then, I haven't been active on YouTube and recently, a certain YouTuber had his entire channel locked down for no good reason. He lost all his subscribers and I think he started another channel to talk about his loss. I am not sure...it just seems that social media including video platforms are just beyond people's control.

that is weird really.. I do hope you can do something about it, like getting it all back again....
I am reluctant to even start a channel after reading this. I do have one small video on a channel l created a couple of months back and I was hoping to start doing some more soon.

Is there any particular reason why you got suspended? In your experience, is there anything we should not do?

Thnx for your thoughts. They have not been very specific and very general and keep referring to their policy outline which I have looked at and I don't see where I may have crossed the line -so in my opinion, the jury is still out. They have the reins and I am just another channel-owner with a plan to use their platform. Sorry, I can't say more.
