8 Tips for easy Time Management
Hey there Guys 'n Dolls!
Here's hoping that you are doing well and still have the enthusiasm to be the best that you can be!!
Here are some tips that you can use to help keep your valuable time in check:
- Declutter - clear your work area - mind and physical.
- Plan - each day's plan should be worked on without excuse.
- Prioritize - decide which project needs your focus first, and then so on.
- Be effective - it's not a race, so try to be as effective as you can versus being over-efficient.
- Focus - focus on the 'vital few' versus the 'vital many'.
- Finish the job - no matter what, make 'finishing' a plan.
- Stop procrastinating - try reverse psychology, do the most difficult task first then the easy.
- Stay organized - once you have a working system, stick to it.
I know that life is not perfect - at least for most of us - so remember, it is ok to start each day over with a renewed plan if you fell short the day before. Try not to 'beat yourself up'. It does not help in a positive way.

Great tips, Mee. I would also include being realistic.
Sometimes, in the hype of wanting to get so much accomplished, we can overextend ourselves, thus, setting ourselves up for failure even before we begin.
Indeed, Vee. We sometimes try to climb that 'Mt. Everest' without the tools and then wonder why we 'fall back to the valley'. It is great to have goals, however, we need to adjust as we progress on the journey as we find out that all is not 'black and white'.
True words have you said.

I like how you stated that, Mee.
It's not a matter of avoiding climbing your own Mt. Everest, it's just taking the time to make sure we have the right "tools" as you say. But even with those tools, it may not be the right time to make that climb.
Not racing through is what I have to constantly remind myself of. I take deep breaths before I start and tell myself content Mark. It is the Content that matters. Go slow, be thorough. It is my new mantra. Lol
If not I can be a speed demon.
Cheers
LOL...you are CERTAINLY not alone on this one...I used to have such moments and then I took a few deep breaths and redirected my thoughts.
Much success.

Yes, that might pose a challenge. But why not schedule the tasks in shift too...maybe the easy ones first then??
Great topic and powerful list, Michelle. All this advice is powerful and right on-target.
For me the toughest part is your number 1.
I think I can De-clutter my desk easily enough, but my browser is another matter. WAY too many tabs, each representing a task in some state of started, not completed, but needed...
I'd sure like to figure out a system to get them sorted and closed but not lost... I will work this out, but if someone has a great system already, I'm all ears...
Thanks again for a great post!
Steve
Thanks, Steve. You and I share the same issue. Sometimes, I have way too many open tabs that I 'need' to read so I keep them open. Here's what I do sometimes, I simply go check my 'history' and find the links again if I need them. And sometimes, after I keep them open for too long, I find that I really did not 'need' to do anything. You can also, simply create a bookmark and store the links for later reading.
Hope this helps somewhat.
Much success.

Yes, it helps somewhat :-) If and when I come up with a more comprehensive and simpler process I'll share it. Til then, I'll try to do just as you say, but limit my tabs and browsers to a specific number. Maybe 6?
I'll get back to you after I actually put this into action or give up trying...

I am SO much in the same boat. I have also tried to make bookmarks which then resulted in a HUGE bookmarks list that I couldn't get through anyway. :(
I still haven't found the solution other than I sometimes give up and just clear all the tabs :(
As for the post - It's really good advice for most people... Now, if I could just start with no. 1 *sigh*
Hey there Maria,
Yes, you have company. For the bookmark folder...just store the links in a folder and revisit when you have time.

In the beginning I attempted to do too much and I accomplished little. After six months I now attempt less daily but get more done!. Live and learn!

Yes, PB. You have to have 'trial and error' moments to find your own 'mojo'. Much success.
