5 Things you can do today

Hello Guys 'n Dolls,

Just a little hello and a few words to edify your day.

Here are 5 little points:
  1. Every morning as you start your day, make a list of 3 things you want to accomplish. Just 3, you don't want to overwhelm yourself.
  2. Remember the 50/10 Rule. Work on one project for 50 mins and then take 10 minutes to refocus or even take a break and then continue with your day.
  3. Clean your desk or work area. A clean desk/work area makes for a clear and structured mind. It helps you focus more on the thing/project at hand.
  4. Express your gratitude on a daily basis. Name 10 things that you are thankful for - it can be as simple as the ability to take a walk. No stress in your thinking.
  5. Do something nice for yourself. Buy yourself an ice cream cone or just watch your favorite comedy for 30 mins. Just love and appreciate yourself on your terms.

Be creative and remember it does not take much to make a difference in your life or those of the ones you love.

Namaste

Great praticals, Michelle.

I never heard of the 50/10 rule, but that makes sense. I keep a gratitude journal, but just after I read your post, I decided to give thanks for 10 things in the moment.

I write my "Things To Do" lists weekly, but break it up into 3 categories: priority, most important and important. Last week was a very busy one, so yesterday was my "Do Nothing" day, and today I'll be focusing more on catching up with reading.

Gotta step back and refuel regularly!

Awesome, Miss Vee. The important thing is what YOU take away from the table and how you can adjust it or include it in your time and space.
I do my gratitude thingy ANY time I have a free moment, and more often at 11:11 on the clock, am or pm!

Haha.....11:11...how fascinating!!!

Great points M. Pretty good at most but must start on the first point. Thanks for the share.
J.

You're welcome, J. It's all about setting the tone for your day and making you aware of what you consider that needs to be done on this particular day. NO pressure, just wanting to have a plan of action to spur you into activity.

Hi there
great post and thanks for sharing these great ideas

Hey there PB:)
You're welcome.
M

Thank you Michelle I'm truly grateful for those 5 thing's I have recently been working on my laptop and literary not got anything done at all and feel very frustrated with my self.

Sometimes we try to force ourselves to do something, when maybe, our body or spirit just needs us to take a moment and breathe.

Perhaps you just need to focus on #5 right now, Kim.

Absolutely, Vee. Great point.

Hey there Kim, do not frustrate yourself - everything in its time. Maybe you just need to step back, stop beating yourself up, and then start fresh after you have taken time out to just BE.

I would bet that you could probably have a bucket load of sprinkles, Michelle and you'd still look the same. If I just look at them, I would gain weight!

Good information...Thanks for sharing!!

You're welcome, Deborah.

I'm about 50 50 on these Michelle. Thanks for posting!

It's not about the score, Mike, it's about the part they play in your time and space and how/if it can be effective for YOU. And with a 50/50, you are still looking good - it means you are very much aware in more ways than one.
