So, here I go again. I've been a WA member almost 2 months and haven't made any significant progress (I've actually blogged about that before). As I spent some time on my profile over the last few days, I realise the main reason for my inertia was that I had chosen a niche which was out of my league (for the time being at least). It was a topic I'm not particularly knowledgeable about (though (i) I thought I was and (ii) I aspire to be). Perhaps I was being too ambitious (if there is such a thing) but in the final analysis, building my website with sound and appealing information proved very challenging. Coupled with that, I had opted not to acquire my own domain. But I am so grateful for the caring community that WA is, with numerous people literally at my fingertips, who are always ready and able to help and support. So I have received some invaluable guidance from other affiliates that has helped me to make choices which would prove more advantageous in achieving my goals as an affiliate. Firstly, out with the unknown niche and in with a niche that I can promote with my eyes half-closed, because I'm truly an expert in this area. Secondly, I'm going to get my own domain which will hopefully improve my traffic. So, some major and necessary changes are underway. Better now than later on. Furthermore, I've set a new goal at this point, that before the actual 2 months mark on 6th April, I'd have my website up. The change starts now.

Good luck for your new niche website success. - Joe

Well, 06 April has arrived and is going quickly by and my website is not yet up as I had determined. However, change has indeed taken place, in more ways than one and it has effected positive results. My first website it is well on its way and I have made more progress here in the last week that in the entire 2 months. Slowly, but steadily and enthusiastically, I persevere.

Great going! People on purpose, rarely fail. You can surely, win. - Joe

I would imagine that many of us have to build momentum in the beginning. It is part of the learning process. If you discover that your chosen niche is not right for you, that's not a bad thing, it is progress. As you put your energy into this new niche, you will learn lessons that will help in the old niche, should you choose to revisit it. Thanks for posting this decision, it is a good example of an objective business decision.

Thank you for your feedback.
