Slow and Steady

So I started this course back in March 2019 and it's now September, six months into the training. I suppose I thought I would be further along the road by now as I am just about to complete level 2 of my training. I also returned to full time work after maternity leave in February of this year and started an extension to our house in March. So I am going to give myself a bit of a break and just keep on carrying on. Slow and steady is what I believe will do it for me in the end. It's a new strategy for me but I have tried going at things in the past in a full on manner and all that seems to happen is that I end up losing motivation and burning myself out and giving up in the end. My goal is to get to the end of the training and take stock of where I am at.

Normally I would race through the training and come back to following through on the actions but I am going through all the actions methodically one by one before I move on to the next level. This is what has held me back a little as some actions have required a bit of writing or thought but I am proud of myself for following through and ticking them all off one by one. Without even realising it I am gaining more knowledge and experience all the time. I am writing this as I speak with my little one having a nap so I am expecting to be interrupted at any moment. It's a new way of working trying to get things done in limited and focused time slots. Sometimes I find that I start to write an article and have to park it and come back to it when I can think straight or when I don't have a one-year-old trying to hit the keyboard buttons because she thinks it's some sort of game.

I have struggled in the past with accepting that things take longer than I would like in order to get results but I find myself at a point in my life just releasing all my should and relaxing into the process whatever will be will be and enjoying the journey. Life moves quickly and is gone in a flash it's important to be present and to make memories whilst we can. I am planning a life that I don't need to take a vacation from a life that I relish and am grateful for a life that allows me to spend quality time with my loved ones and to cherish the little moments. This opportunity is helping me to work towards this dream this vision and I am very grateful for this and so I will keep you updated on my progress towards this dream here is to the next six months and whatever the future brings.

Great post!
You are so right. Take your time to prepare yourself for a stable success for yourself and your loved ones. The most important thing is to get there no matter what time.
