Hi,

I sold one of my websites. Now I have to transfer it to a new owner. It's hosted here, but the domain name is on Namecheap.

Does anyone know which steps to fo

You just need that transfer code from Name Cheap!

Thanks Mike.

The new owner needs to give you their Name Cheap ID. Then login into your Name Cheap, head over to the site you've sold and it'll prompt you to add the new owners details. And that's it.

That sounds easy. Thanks a lot Lady May!

lo it's dead easy, but if you need help let me know :)

Thanks a lot.

Hi,

I'm considering selling one of my websites. What's your suggestion as to how to do it?

Thanks in advance!

I actually just published training on this at:

I've sold on Flippa before, but I warn you though very good their fees are extortionate.

What exactly do you mean by extortionate in terms of percentages or figures?
Thanks!

There is an upfront fee and then when you've sold your site there's another fee which is a percentage of the sale price - not sure how much the percentage is. Anyway, I sold a site for $600 and altogether the final fee was about $100. Hope that helps.

That's quite of a rip-off!
How mature was your site in terms of the number of posts, comments?
I have a site with 70+ posts for example?

I will PM you

Hi. Have PM'ed you.

Please share my response or your comments on it HERE if appropriate. Regards

I PMed you. Thanks a lot!

Best platforms in my opinion are buysellwebsite.com and flippa.com. But selling in these kind of platforms is bit tricky as most bidders are resellers, and you may need multiple re-listings to sell.
What's the niche? is it established website?

Hi and thanks a lot!

It's online marketing. It's been online for a year with tens of posts.

I'm wondering what you sold for. Care to share?

Hi,

I noticed unusual traffic increase that occurs always around the round hours.

I have the same. I read about it and it is spam to analytics and not your website. It throws off your stats. There is nothing you can do about it except apply some filters. I suggest you keep your main view and rename it unfiltered. Then you create another view named Master and to this you apply your filters.

Interesting suggestion. Thanks a lot. I'll have a look.

MudreM what you are seeing it is spam, you should apply some filters to prevent this traffic.

This should help:

Thanks a lot Carlos!

Same here.It started around three weeks ago.It is very annoying and messes up my analytics. Definitely spam!!!
Best, Anke

It is extremely annoying. I have to figure out how to get rid of it.
Cheers.

This is bonkers.

Yes I am getting this also, it's spam and very annoying !

Cheers. Hope you resolve this issue soon.

Yes, I have seen it and it´s damaged the statistic Looks like it come from some people in Russia, at least in my case the statistic looks simular.

Spam from Russia, do not open any links

Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it.

It is a new generation Google Analytics spam.It is fake traffic showing up in analytics reports.

Thanks Glen!

I've been getting the same thing for a while now and don't know what to make of it.

It makes two of us.

That is very strange Mudre,

Unlike anything that I've ever seen and/or experienced.

Thank you for sharing my Friend and I look forward to hearing more,

Tony

I look forward to learning more about this or similar issues.
Cheers Tony

What are you doing now to capitalize on Black Friday and coming online shopping days?

Have you prepared your special pages dedicated to Black Friday dea

I have 4 active sites, so I've been focusing on a different site each day:

Monday: Earn Money with Marcus
Tuesday: Laptop site
Wednesday: Tablet site
Thursday: Synths site

I'm creating special Black Friday posts on each and getting comments to them. On Black Friday itself, I will spend some time getting even more comments on them.

It will be an interesting experiment. In the new year I will be reviewing my websites and deciding what my strategy for 2017 will be. Will I continue with these 4 websites? Will I just focus on EMWM to refer people to WA? Or will I create any new websites?

Do you approve trackbacks in Word Press?

Like these examples below:

This is new to me also. Look forward to additional replies ;)

Cheers Suz.

Not into it Mudre but will study.

Thanks Mike.

Trackbacks sound new to me, will do a research on that. thanks.

Cheers.

I never heard of trackbacks.

Jerry explained it nicely. cheers.

Nope. One simple reason. Pingbacks and trackbacks affect your site speed. They will slow down your site and you don't really need them.

Thanks a lot, Jerry. I knew there's something wrong there, but couldn't explain what exactly. I will delete such comments. Cheers.

You should just disable the pingbacks and trackbacks in your editor. You know how to do it right?

I did it already. I appreciate it Jerry.

Good to know that can be done!
