WE were just approved for another affiliate marketing company and they have a few different options when copying the code. So I wonder what is the difference between javascrip

Javascripts can be very useful. They add a variety of functionality to your site, much the way plugins do. BUT - some javascripts affect web browsers differently. So, like Loes said, be cautious if you're not experienced with them. They also are fussy about where they're placed in your source code. So read instructions carefully... if it includes placement instructions, or your site could act weird, including making the whole page seem to disappear. Despite, the warnings, I have used and enjoyed some javascripts very successfully in the past. If you Google "freee javascripts" you'll find some doozies. They usually tell you which browsers they work best with. Best to use only those that work on all platforms. Results can vary.

thank you for the useful info, I will have to do some reading today and learn a little more abut them. I have just noticed on the Amazon Affiliate they have two different ways you can embed and our newest the CJ, has both HTML and Javascript. Thanks.

Ey there Terri, not sure but I think that hiding the tracking code is a good thing as some individuals may dink around with it in a way as to deny you getting the credit for the sale. I think I read that somewhere here at WA... not sure... hopefully one of the folks here will fill in the blanks for ya'. Hey to Vic!

Hey Randy, thank you.. I kinda thought I should hide it, so I did. Wonder if encrypting is needed??

Hmmm... not sure on the encrypting kiddo, I've never really delved into that world! Let me ask Loes real quick...

Ok no problem, thanks for your help

(-;

HTML is directly on your website, scripts load from other hostings, so it can really slow your website speed

Hiya Loes... what do ya' think about the encrypting aspect of it... should Terri attempt to go that route?

I would be cautious to use scripts

Thanks Loes

Thank ya' Loes!!!

Most places use Java so I don't think it maters that much. Its what ever you feel comfortable with. Java is a programming language that doesn't need compiling. Google ad's would use JavaScript to run there advertisements on your site for example.

JavaScript is more active. I would have no problem using it.

Thank you, they have both codes to embed on my site for the banner ads, I just wondered which one is better to use or if it mattered?

Thank You

JavaScript accesses a special library from what I understand. JavaScript plays a greater role in slowing down operation of your site.

Hi KDClover, thank you…now I am very confused…hahaha So you think it is better to use the HTML? I can use either one, I just don’t know which is better or if it really mattered? Thanks so much

When we signed up last month, we couldn’t buy everything at once. So we started building our site on WP having a siterubix

Type in WWW.yourwebsite.com in google search it should list the pages if ranked

Thank you, yes we found it the next day. I greatly appreciate all your help! Hope you have a nice week!

In my opinion you should view websites created thru siterubix as practice websites used for training purposes, not the real thing. Are you set up with Google Analytics? If not use or create a gmail account and then use the gmail address for the Google Analytics. You will need to copy some code from Google Analytics to your website for verification purposes.

HI yes we had signed up before, but I think I need to do this again with this new domain. Thank you for reminding me I forgot about that. We had been so involved in getting content written, its some of the other things I need to remember to do. Thanks again for your input.

I was going to answer this question but I see that E already got you. That's great.

Thank you for posting anyway. Have a great weekend!

Site indexing can take hours to weeks and there is no way to really know for certain how long it is going to be.

Have you checked to make sure your new site is live and that everything from your siterubix transferred over to it?

ROCK ON!
E

Thank you for the quick response. Yes, I checked all the pages and posts yesterday after I switched. Everything looks fine and it also redirects from the old one to the new just fine. I guess I’ll have to be patient…LOL thanks again Have a good one!

Just keep on checking it and soon enough it will be indexed. :-)

Thanks, yes I just looked a little bit ago and it is indexed now. I just wasn’t sure. And it took a little longer to buy our own domain than we wanted but finally got it. But we just kept adding more and more content in the meantime. Thank you

Excellent!
