Happy Easter What a Niche

I would like to start this by saying I am not religious and this is not a religious post although there is some religious undertone for comparison.
Easter is a Great Niche
Easter obviously is not an online niche but it can be compared to what we are doing here at Wealthy Affiliate. All around the world, we have many faiths all believing whatever they believe but, the giving of Chocolate and presents at Easter has now transcended religion in the same way that Christmas has.
The idea of a Savior dying for our sins and being reborn is not exclusive to Christian Faith. Many religions around the world have examples of this same event but based around different Religious Deities. This is probably why Easter is so popular.
Easter is FUN
Easter is fun. We give and receive presents and we share chocolate rabbits and eggs. Now the Egg is supposed to be a symbol of rebirth and this is where the religious connection comes from.
Did you know that this all pre-dates modern religion. Everything that we know as Fun at Eater comes from the Pagan festival of Eostre. This was a festival based around this northern goddess who had the symbol of (You guessed it) a Rabbit or Hare. The Exchanging of Eggs fits in with many religions around the world. Even the Idea of the Hot Cross Bun goes back to Pagan times.
Ban the Bun
Many religious Leaders tried to stop the making of these sacred cakes because they were seen as a Pagan celebration. When the defiant pagan women kept baking the cakes, the clergy gave up and blessed them. They were then accepted in to the Christian faith.
It became a niche
In modern times, people with great drive an ambition saw the potential for the exploitation of Easter. They decided to spin it to the world as a commercial festival where you could show people how much you love them by the giving of Chocolate and cards. Soon the ball started to roll and the simple gifts of painted eggs and baked cakes started to be replaced with all thing bunny and chick related.
How did this happen
Well My friends. One word MARKETING. There are lots of comparisons with the commercialization of the real world and our online Virtual world. Basically it is just another step down the road of human evolution.
Because we live in a material world (and I am a Material boy), we will always need some form of currency and industry. The rules that were applied to things Like Easter and Christmas have now been developed and applied to our online approach.
Here at WA
Know there is a lesson to learn here. We will probably not come up with something as big as Easter but we can apply the approach. Keep talking about our websites and keep developing content. The more people we can engage with, the more people that will talk about our sites and products. This will result in more sales and more popularity. If, you stick with it then your site may even become the authority site on a particular subject.
Please excuse my use of this festival for comparison but, you must see the point.
maybe we should just sell chocolate eggs.
Thanks for reading
Most religions would be horrified at the thought but many had pagan beginnings.
Not so bothered about the chocolate eggs but am partial to a hot cross bun.
I used to make them when my girls were young, trouble was they didn't last 5 minutes. lol.
I recently did a mothers day post , suggesting to do something different like have a party rather than the norm. Whilst doing that post, my research revealed several facts that I certainly never knew about mothers day.
Those tit-bits facts are so rewarding to find out and can inspire us to learn more. Your 'Ban the Bun' fact is a very good example.
Thank you for a great post
Hope you have great success here at WA.
I am working very hard because i want to be successful and I am sure you want the same
Take care
