Hello, I have hired a website developer, and they have completed a website for me. It will replace the current one that I have.

Hi, please be aware siterubix subdomains remains the property of WA, I would transfer it to a dot com domain if you already purchased one.

You can certainly give them access, add a new user to your WordPress, collect login credentials from site manager and they can login to https://mydomainname.com/wp-admin If your dot com is locked then no, and they still would need the domains EPP authorization code.

However in the first instance, I would also reach out to support for further guidance.

Please note

You can use the move feature found within your site manager to move you siterubix subdomain to your dot com, when you are ready. It is a simple process.

You would need wait up to 30 days (Kyle's recommendation) for 301 redirects to be completed and for the search engines. After of which you may delete the subdomain however you could keep it for longer if hosting space is not an issue

You can check Kyles training tutorial below So yes you can use a siterubix subdomain and later transfer to a dot com domain.

how do I access my c name records to point my subdomain to another platform?

where do I find site support

Go to the lefthand column of your screen and click on the arrow next to Help Center. This will give you a few options. Click on Site Support and answer a few questions/ give the information needed for them to complete your request. When I did it, they asked me to copy and paste the CNAME records that I wanted to add to my domain- so you could include those in your first email if you'd like!

They usually answer really quickly, so you shouldn't have to wait too long.

I hope that helps!

I recently asked this question myself! Here at WA we don't have access to our CNAME records. You'll need to open a ticket with site support. They answer really quickly and get you taken care of.

Good luck!
Heidi
