How soon after you post an article should you begin checking how it's ranking for your keyword in google? What's the best method to check? Or easiest?

I agree with katkatskitchen.

Yeah just read his article - about worrying about all this too soon. When do you think is a good time to start paying more attention to ranking? 4/6/9/12 months? 2 years? Just curious your opinion.

Sometimes it takes a little bit for Google to catch up. So I'd give it a few days.

Thank you - will do!

From may personal.experience. Ranking after posting will be about 3 days.

good going

never just keep adding quality content, because when it's ranked you will be ecstatic and when it's dropped you will waste even more time finding out why.

good point thank you

I wouldn't worry about it too much initially. The only positions in SERPS that are going to get you visitors are 1-10. The image sums it up. :-)

lol love that

The free version of Rank Tracker is a great tool to use but like the others have said, I wouldn't be concerned about checking too often:
http://www.link-assistant.com/rank-tracker

thank you - tried to get that but couldn't understand the tool - seemed cumbersome

Ok, here's another one I've started to use too: https://www.serplab.co.uk

cool! will check it out

Sure thing!

it's good - it works for me! saves time surfing through the pages

:-)

I would balance continued writing with a weekly Jaaxy assessment.

don't have the premium jaaxy and ran out my 30 searches - but one day would love to work with it!

I never check, I just keep writing:)

I am like Loes.

seems like a plan

I check google directly and go through the pages. I have learned that it can be as soon as 4hours or as long as 2 days before it might get ranked. It may also change in ranking rom one day to the next.

yeah started to do that - but wasn't seeing them anywhere

The time varies...just keep checking.

I use Jaaxy.com. I can check multiple times a day...easy! Accurate!

LOL!!! I "might" check once a month! Be patient! Get on the next article! :-)

lucky - would love to have the premium jaaxy - but with my premium membership here - it's too much for me until I start earning more

yeah this is my first time looking into it - i figured i should see if my seo is working at all

I need someone to help me understand my bing ad numbers and what they mean and whether I'm doing well or having issues...here is a snapshot (minus the keywords column) - I have

If I spent $6.30, have no referrals from it after 2 days, should I stop it?

I hope this was resolved, let me know if I can help.

Your positions look fine, you want those to be below 5, which is the number of ads on the first page. The Click Through Rate are really good. Anything above 10% is good.

Avg Cost Per Click is what you want to keep an eye on. This is how much you pay for every time someone clicks on your ad. Multiple this number by your clicks and you will get your spend amount for the day. These are the only numbers to be concerned about.

Impressions are nothing more than how many times your keywords were found in a search someone made.

Hope this helps.

I was reading another post (I don't think it was yours) about Bing certification. You can investigate Bing Ads Certification (it's free) which may cover these issues.

Yes that is pretty decent, but you definitely need to do more testing.

that's the keywords there - so 6 of them - this is the keywords table

hi, seems like you just ran your campaign not too long.. do more A/B testing and increase your quality score. But your position is already high so you just need to get more data. How many keywords are you bidding and do you track them? Have patience.

What has been the most helpful part of the program for you so far?

:)

The most helpful part is I could meet wonderful people like you.

Look at that! :) Thanks so much!

Where's my Kleenex?! Nice, MisterWailor!

Here you go, you are the kindest person and nicest person in the whole wild world.

LOL

awww - :)

See how nice people are...I am speechless! Thanks!!!

Me too.

LOL! Hey, my friend...
Doing any social media yet?

I have 2500 twitter followers.

WOW! That's great! Are they real? LOL!

Yes, I get them one by one. I didn't buy them.

You know I'm kidding...right?!

I am proud of you! I need to do some soial marketing too!

Hey, I updated my website and I went through each Blog (not fun) checking images and links.
There are 2 images that will make you laugh...
1. The image larger than your head.
2. Remember the underwater guy sticking his face through the innertube and he was sticking out his tongue?

Hey, 2 new websites...

DIYOrganizer.com
GossipNewsTV.com

I spent all day mirroring the Dashboard options, emails, Gravatars, Social icons, GWT and GA, etc Too much work...

You and I with fresh websites...bring it!

I thought my head is the largest. LOL.
Twitter is the best, because you can put in your links without problem If you do that on Facebook or G+, they will ban your account.

Ok...thanks...good to know...Twitter it is!

I have too many websites and I am not showing it .

Are these websites yours?

You're the money man! Sometimes, silence is key!

Yes...finished them last night. They were a work-in-progress. I knew what I wanted...no Blogs! LOL!

Very nice websites, great job.

I came here for one reason, to make money with me being my own boss. Saying that, there are things about this business that I make me realize that, without the training and without others trying to help, you will flounder. The bottom line still rests within you. You can either take the training to heart and do what you know you need to do to achieve the goals you set for yourself, or you can be here to socialize. Whichever you decide, will be totally on you. The training works, the tool bar helps and the community can help, but it can also distract.

Wise words - I see your point, help or distract - seems quite true.

The question bar up top is very helpful.... but love the interaction and getting to know people here. As it is in life, you seem to hit it off with some, and I am enjoying finding 'my people'.

Yes...me too! There are people here that are wonderful and brighten my day!

Yeah I find it very useful too - the way it smart-populates - it's very helpful.

What isn't!? I find the training, the questions, the answers and all the people to be the best!

great!

To me the most helpful part is the ability to get answers to any question by A) searching for other's questions that have already been answered or other training and B) asking the community in a blog post.

yes you can ask the community - it's a great feature!

Before I read Dave's post I mentally conjured up COMMUNITY. How ESP is that? BTW look at the actionable word when you type in a question mark.

seems to be the theme!

I would say the community would be first, second I would say the awesome training!

interesting - it's definitely a common theme - community is key advantage here

I agree with Deidre, the community!

:):):)

great!

I wholly agree with Upsgirl, It's the community.

The Community help!
The list is endless, really!

any particular part of the community? Like the chat or blogs or questions or discussions or just all of it?

All of it!

Hello, I'm just wondering how long it took anyone to get a little Site Trust - (not 0%) on their SiteRubix Site Health Section. How long and how many posts later?

Thank

I have a siterubix site. I've been working on it diligently for about 2 months and i'm at 30% I've been trying to put out 3 new posts every week along with building out some of the pages.

Hope this helps

yes it does - thank you!

I have been here for 6 months and my website is at 60%, so I guess 10% a month sounds fair as the others have said.

great thanks!

10% a month sounds fair. But it is 1. frequency of posts and 2. quality of content that quantify site health.

great! thanks for informing me!

Yes it will come just keep adding content

Cool will do!

10% every month I think.

That's correct.

Ok nice - yeah I just started my first siterubix site 2 weeks ago - so i was curious.

As long as you're adding content your site health will go up.
