Do I have to register my website with the state if it's my business?
More like register your business vs your site. You still have to maintain your accounting, taxations and comply with any laws within your region.
You can always start as self employed and once your business is off the ground and/or you have reached the tax threshold, you may then register a business.
I would also seek advice from a professional if it deems necessary.
In addition to complying with FTC guidelines and disclosures as deem necessary to run your sites affiliations.

More like register your business vs your site. You still have to maintain your accounting, taxations and comply with any laws within your region.

I'm new here and trying to make money fast. But I don't see anywhere here how I'm supposed to actually make money...how do I get the affiliates to pay??
You are jumping ahead of yourself and clearly are not following the any of the training. I echo what the guys have said below in their comments - follow the training exactly as it's laid out and do not miss any of the steps. You are building a business just like any other, and if you attempt to join any affiliate networks even after your site has been indexed, you will be rejected. For example, if I was an affiliate company and you submitted your site to me, and your site had zero or two articles on it, getting no traffic I would ask you to re-apply once you are getting a steady amount of organic traffic.
Hi - this is far too early to be thinking of joining affiliate programs, Your website hasn't even been found by Google yet, so it isn't in its search engine. This is called indexing and can take from a couple of weeks onwards. You will get an email when it happens.
Most affiliate programs will inspect your website when you apply and expect to see lots of original content, at least 15 articles. They want to see that you are capable of attracting traffic.
This is not a get rich quick scheme, you cannot make money fast. It is a long term commitment, you are building a genuine business for the future. You are unlikely to make any income for at least 3 months, and more realistically it will be 6 months.

That's your biggest problem right there. I advise you stop trying to make money "fast". Heck, if there was such a thing then why would people even work a job? Why wouldn't everybody be rich?
Sure you can make good money online, but you cant make money "fast" (unless you sell some old unwanted things).

Hi, you need to follow the lessons to the T. They are meant to set you up correctly. So at the bottom of each lesson there's a checklist you would need tick upon completion.
Do them step by step will get your site up and running. Do not skip lessons or do shortcuts. Ask the community for clarifications on any questions you have or if you get stuck, you may also write your progress in WA blog posts.
