Hi there - I'm Sarah and I live on the South Coast of the UK. I can see the ocean from outside my house, which is something I appreciate every day, even when it's raining. Which it does quite a lot here!
Wealthy Affiliate is a great community and the friendliest I've come across online.
I used to run a large UK based website and thought I knew it all with regards to online marketing (HA I didn't!) I left recently, after 10 years, which was the moment I made the intention to find a way to support me and my daughter that didn't mean an endless roundabout of childcare, stress and running around like a female Benny Hill, endlessly chasing my tail. Enter WA!
To date, it's been hard work and I've made some mistakes, but I've also learned a tonne and slowly things have really started to come together and I'm now making real money on a monthly basis (Yippee!). The freedom this has brought me in terms of being able to take my daughter to school, pick her up and spend real quality time with her daily, as well as working from home is priceless to me. The irony is that I've got a load of academic qualifications - a degree and a Masters, among other things - which I loved doing and don't regret, as they are part of who I am. But I have really started to question our slight obsession with qualifications in the UK. I really wish the education system would also teach kids about money and entrepreneurial skills too.
I've built a number of blogs now. One of my blogs has earned me an impressive $3 lol (but I learned big time from the mistakes I made on that one) but others are really starting to grow and I'm now making decent monthly income, which I intend to grow further and build upon.
