How I Stay Motivated

Working from home can be fun, but it easy to get distracted or lack motivation at times. It is vital that you get back on track when you lose focus.

Since I am a morning person these are some of the things I do.

• Before you begin working for the day, read your list of goals. If you haven't written down the things you want to accomplish in the near future, DO THIS FIRST. While reading your list you will remember why you wanted to be your own boss in the first place.

• Some people like to begin their day with prayer, meditation, or reciting positive affirmations. Do whatever works for you!

• Eat. Fuel your body and brain. You can't function properly on an empty stomach!

• Engage in the Wealthy Affiliate community. Leave a comment on someone's website, give and ask for feedback on yours. Don't isolate yourself. Don't be afraid or embarrassed to ask for help!

• I can't stress this enough - DON'T COMPARE YOURSELF TO ANYONE ELSE! I made this mistake when looking at others' sites as a new member....I didn't feel like my website measured up, and I was beginning to think I made a mistake by joining WA. Of course, you will always find something that needs to be improved, but don't compare yourself to someone who has been been building websites, blogging, or been self employed for 5, 10 or more years. It only leads to frustration and loss of confidence.

In closing, it is also important to keep a positive attitude throughout your journey. Like in any business, there will be ups and downs. You already know that life is like that anyway. The worst thing you can do to yourself is quit when things get a little tough. You will never know what you are capable of when you give up.
