Why we should all help out in the beginners classrooms
Today I was shocked in the beginner's classroom Level 1 to see someone who had joined in April answering newbies with wrong answers a month later - telling absolute beginners that you could have multiple niches on one domain name and encouraging them to choose very broad niches like 'cats', or 'gardening' and link from one to the other - when really anything concerning cats and gardening could have been a post on one niche not two. The person giving these wrong answers was all over the page totally dominating the page like 'an expert' even though Kyle and some others were chipping in giving good information.
I think it is a big deal to an absolute beginner to be led astray with bad advice, I wouldn't like it myself. The questions they ask are very important to a beginner but so easy for those of us who are been here for a while. Personally I'd forgotten to go into those beginner classrooms and help people out until I got a recent referral. I am seeing older members every day posting oftentimes silly questions to help their rank, and we often focus on the ambassadors doing this, but the people who really need your answers and attention most are the beginners. And that will help your rank and WA the most too.
As for anyone who wants to help out, good for you, that is what makes this a great place that everyone learns and shares what they learned - but the advice we give to ambassadors to make sure you know what you are saying before saying it to someone else also applies to beginners in the beginners classrooms. And if you don't know, simply find out, double check, then answer.

Absolutely...People should not give directions when they themselves might also be new....Our foundation is very important for our growth... thanks...
Good afternoon Moz,
That was a good post. As I am a beginner also and on top of it quite hopeless with computers etc I refrain from answering questions but most of the time read the answers.
Have you seen my posts, I have 4 now.

Beginners can get the hang of things quickly and contribute a lot, but this event today shocked me into action, though like I said it happens across the board.
Yeah, I stopped answering Ambassador questions when i realized that they weren't really doing it to get an answer, but to create content.
I primarily focus on answering questions that have no or few responses. I've seen at times that even after 5 comments the person still hasn't had their questions answered.
Great post. I don't post a reply, if I don't know the answer. I would hope that anyone answering any of my questions would do the same. While I'm new to the world of affiliate marketing, I'm not new to the world of technology, of the internet.
If you don't know, don't answer!
No question that the more experienced should be more helpful. I still have questions unanswered. Thanks Moz
Keep asking, hopefully the right person will see soon. Maybe a good idea just to put it out there too - hey I've got unanswered questions :) I've just realized I'm not seeing enough questions, so maybe others aren't too.
