New site has 13 visitors immediately, am I seeing things?
How fast can a new site get traffic?
I threw up a site between Saturday night and Sunday and didn't even look at it on Monday thinking there's no way it's been found yet, but curiosity today made me go into google analytics and I was surprised to see there's been 13 visitors already:
- 11 from the US
- 2 from the UK, and I'm in Ireland
- average stay 16 minutes
I've taken pics of the stats in GA, and the receipt for the .org domain purchase Saturday night. This site has not yet been indexed in google. But I saw a member here before getting his content ranked immediately on a brand new site before being indexed.
I did watch Jay's 7 step method but couldn't carry out those steps yet as they do require a bit more content on there and he says they aren't really for new sites, so I stuck to the bare minimum as advised in the regular training in the Online Entrepreneur Course.
*My takeaways:
1. Do NOT take a break once you've put it up there, keep adding content!
2. Cover the basic training, even if you think there's a lot more stuff you still want to learn.
3. Have some faith in new sites, I've seen others do great things with them whatever is going on here!

Site built in a 24 hour period between Jan 20th-21st, traffic immediately takes off
US and UK visitors, I'm in Ireland
Domain purchased evening of Jan 20th, .org as .com was already taken

Looks very promising, my first website took about 3 weeks to get 13 visitors, and I believe those where family;)
lol, we hear that a lot so I wanted to show what is possible, especially after seeing someone else doing it with a new site
when we think it can't happen we tend to drag our feet a bit, but we can really just go for it
