Do You Really Need a Mentor Here at WA?

No, and here is why:

Master the training, Kyle is your mentor here at WA and has formatted this training to give you a solid foundation. When you master this core training then you will be able to have a good perspective on where everyone else is coming from.

  • If you ask any other member in here for their opinion on hosting, SEO, marketing you'll get a bunch of different, conflicting and at times downright dangerous answers that will knock you off course for your entire online business.
  • **On top of that, you could get charged money, a lot of it.**

WA Training is Core and Foundational But Not Basic

Make no mistake, this core training is not 'basic'. Before I came to WA, I did a lot of research, took all the 'free stuff' out there, took some courses from very big names in the industry costing $1000s and knew they were scammy in that they were charging that just to get your toe in the door. People may eventually succeed with those routes but they'd need a lot of money up front. I actually found WA because of a review of one of those courses that really resonated with me. And when I started to go through the training here I was very surprised not only at the resources others wanted to charge me thousands for, but for the information and nuggets Kyle was dropping all over the training, unannounced, like they were supposed to be there [!]

Not only are these nuggets high class material but anywhere else you'd have to sit through hours of waffle in video after video and endure targeted aggressive email campaigns, all part of someone's launch to earn them big money ultimately by telling you just how much value you were getting and putting you under one hell of a pressure sell having already led you emotionally and psychologically like a lamb to the slaughter if you'd endured their entire launch sequence.

Training that has an Agenda is Biased Training

Then after the WA training I tried a number of courses at Udemy and at first thought I was like a kid in a sweet shop, then I realized each teacher had an agenda and series of affiliate links, the training was much more geared towards their sales than what was good for me. Because I'd done the training here at WA first I could now recognize when someone was actually giving me dangerous advice!

And there was so much extra work because those guys did not have all the platform features and hosting features that we have here at WA. Though I learned quite a bit there, it just made me appreciate WA more and just how valuable the training is here for the bigger picture. It made me see how especially now with all the updates to the WA platform and hosting, that WA are way ahead and those teachers on Udemy are really trying to catch up, with their caching plugins and more. And no surprise then that Udemy turned me down for their affiliate program because of a 'competitor' on my site, they were scared of WA, and that was before the recent updates.

I noticed that every single class I took at Udemy seemed to advertise everything and everyone except WA, and then it clicked, those teachers are directing thousands of students to their affiliate links for hosting elsewhere. Unlike Udemy, one of the first things you'll learn about affiliate marketing at WA is 'don't leave money on the table', Kyle will encourage you to get affiliate links from competitors, not only is he not afraid of competitors but that is sound business advice and a true education.

Mentorship at WA is a Community Affair

  • WA describes itself as a community and that means you have a part to play. Don't understimate the training, commit to it. Every superaffiliate that has made it on this platform has concurred that they mastered the training here as a first step.
  • Know that this training is created by a [at least one] millionaire who is passing his formula on to you personally. The classes are being updated all the time. When you see something that needs improved you have the ability to help with that. This is a community that is evolving and going forward together. If you see something that is needed, say so. If you see something you don't like, say so. And you can be part of the solution.
  • Notice how the costs here have been kept down, access to incredible resources even high end wordpress specific managed hosting that could cost you $250 a month elsewhere, with many optimizations for SEO ahead of the industry, all included in your membership fee, which is $26.50-$49 depending on which package you choose [Black Friday, Yearly, or monthly]. There are no upsells here, and that includes no upsell to any 'mentor'.

The Learning Process - Your Vulernability to a Shiny Object 'Mentor'

When you think of someone learning the violin, you don't see a maestro playing in an orchestra, you see a screechy awful racket that is at times insufferable. So how do you get from a to b, from beginner to maestro? If anyone tells you you can get there without work, then they are selling you a shiny object, there is no genuine shortcut. You have a process to go through and human nature does not like going outside its comfort zone. People walking among us selling 'mentorship' can in a moment of weakness seem like 'the perfect solution', but there's no substitute for just literally 'getting with the program'.

There is no doubt that when you've mastered all that is before you, then you can consider if you'd like a 'mentor' and be in a much better position to choose one.

**But if anyone tries to sell you 'mentorship' as a beginner here inside the WA platform, then know you are being shortchanged.

As a beginner anything will look good to you and you won't know the difference. Btw, no one in here should actually be selling you mentorship, bear that in mind too and hold onto your hard earned dollars. Remember too that 'mentorship' is a marketing ploy used by certain 'gurus' out there, you are here on the WA platform to learn without the bs.

The Solution?

Ask. And if you don't get an answer to your question, ask again. The problems with 'mentorship' among members in here are many and varied, including questions and help being touted at a price, and that is contrary to the whole ethos of the WA platform.

Well said!
I came to WA through an article I read about scams online. I wouldn#'t call the member my mentor as I haven't heard from him since though he's still around and doing well. I think people just have to the best they can themselves through the community.
On the other hand, it is possible to come into WA through an inexperienced member. Either way, the community, training is a great resource.

I could not agree more. I can not tell you how many times I started on this path in the last seven years and how often I was misled, got distracted by the next shiny thing or outright taken advantage of with the result that I was pretty disheartened. I am willing to do the work - that was never the problem. The problem was figuring out what the "work" actually was. In hindsight I consider myself lucky that I did not have the kind of money to buy the up sells these so-called gurus wanted me to purchase: You are not successful yet, but if you buy this program or that ebook we reveal all the secret stuff the superaffiliates are using to earn millions in a month. Needless to say these guys were liars at best.

This is why I chose to upgrade after the free trial. I realized quickly that WA is what I was looking for for years. No staggering promises but literally a wealth of information, a blue print on how to get there if you are persistent and do the work, an open ear and a community committed to help. Thanks guys.

Toodles,
Petra

Thank you, MozMary for some very good points of view.
A very worth-reading post! I highly recommend it to everybody in WA (and to those considering joining...if there's a way to get it to them).
There is one "however" for my part. When you imply that giving one's opinion is as necessary as asking questions, ones opinion may tend to hurt feelings, however tactfully it is stated.

Let me give you (and Kyle and Carson) an example....You have a very good speaker for your one-hour videos. He certainly seems to know what he is talking about....but, his manner takes a bit of getting used to. The long silences while he is (presumably) reading messages or questions....while we wait and wait. Also so many times laughing and laughing at nothing funny....reminds one of a TV late night comedian who thinks he is so funny he keeps falling face first onto his desk!! You see what I mean? Of course I would never dare send out anything as frank as THAT !!!

No unkindness meant.

Hi Jean Louis, one thing I am learning in communicating with so many people in here is how people can misinterpret what we say, personally I don't think people should express mere opinions, because like you said they can be hurtful, and ultimately they are personal. And I wasn't so much telling people to express opinions as to give constructive feedback, make requests for what they want to see, and be part of the solution. Here is Kyle asking us to give him feedback as to what we would like to see happen in the platorm: The lessons now have a request feedback option, Kyle and Carson are always asking for feedback for the platform in their blogs, and the private message system means we can contact them directly with ideas or improvements we have in mind.

Great read Mary, with regards to mentors and I am talking about the ones who got me to WA in the first place.

Mine is nowhere to be seen.

2 messages in the first few days and nothing which I find strange and doesn't look good for someone coming into WA, who has absolutely no knowledge at all regarding internet marketing.

Have a great day

Mick

Mick, I know what you mean, but I think of it this way: at least the system allows complete newbies to share their link and earn commissions and they would not be able to help at all, so the system is sort of set up so that there is a wide net of help in here to help newbies and everyone

WA is a great place to be with all a person needs to thrive if they will reach out as you say. There is everything anyone needs right here in this community.

We all thrive to help one another. I personally get many PMs everyday and I never fail to answer them all and have yet to fail, as far as I know, to answer a single one.

I love WA because we are encouraged to follow our training to success and one of the major factors of success is to network as many do here. Karma will ensure that your kindnesses are returned many fold over and getting to know one another will prosper us all if we return good for good or perhaps even good for evil.

Howard is someone who has expressed a deep gratitude lately with a flattering post and a fear he was doing something wrong (I don’t know why he said that, maybe someone should PM him and ask) and says I have helped him tons. I have never charged him a dime and never asked him to write anything. In fact, I have never asked anyone to write anything but many have. My name is nobody, I can’t tell people what to or not to write.

So I am agreeing with you. WA’s platform has everything a person needs to not only survive but to thrive given trial and error and patience and enough time, but... it is all here.

Personally I never approach anyone but I do respond if someone does want personal one on one mentoring as this is my niche that WA has taught me. However, I’ve never talk to them on this platform that is soliciting and against the rules.

I knew very little when I came here and I have learned tons, not just about websites but living. You personally have turned me to alternative medicines and I am much improved and greatful.

The main key to remember (whatever you call it) is the Golden Rule. I just call it Massive Value.

The mighty WA does need mentors, I think WE ALL need to be mentors. You have been one to me.

-Bear

When it comes to support and having questions answered, I don't think there is a better place than WA. The training giving by Kyle is wonderful and very informative.

I have found that by asking a question it is answered very quickly and with 100% results. What more could anybody want?

Previously I thought that the person who invited somebody to WA through the affiliate link, supposed to be a mentor at least on the beginning. Unfortunately, not everybody is so lucky compared with somebody who came under Nathaniel or IveTriedThat.
Thankfully community is great and as you told, people need just ask till problems will be solved.
All the best:)

Everyone has an affiliate link that they can share, so someone brand new could invite someone in, and therefore cannot be a 'mentor', though for sure they can be a good host :)

Of course, if the beginner will get the referral through the affiliate link, he or she will not be so helpful as experienced members. Cheers:)

The person I came into the WA under...I asked hem a question one day (my first question which had 2-parts) and the answer I got back nearly made me leave the WA but after hanging out in the chatroom for 6 hours, I realized this was the place for me, that person who brought me it was not for me. I haven't spoken to this person since. I just wish I could stop their stupid emails and WA msgs. I have tried filters but they still come through and the WA you have no option at least not that I have found.
I'm glad I didn't leave the education I have gotten here has been amazing since I was horrid at computers and actually afraid of them that now it's turning around that still a LONG WAY TO GO.
I think as great as Kyle & Carsons format is here, taking a mentor from within the WA is a mistake because you won't get the mentorship that a true mentor can offer, why else do you think these mentors charge upwards of $20K but they have the success not only in their lives but in their students to back it up. Now that's not to say you couldn't do the exact same thing here at the WA, it's just a totally different experience that can not be compared. I believe if you do the training, do the work, make the right decisions on your own (what I mean by that, lesson 3 had you join an affiliate network, at the time I didn't. I hadn't a single organic piece of traffic and these networks charge $$ if you don't make sales in the said amount of time so why would I join making my window for a sale smaller before paying right? That was a decision I had to learn and make on my own, none of that was taught here) but you make the right choices and you do your time, you can totally become the next WA Millionaire...after me of course ;-)

Hi, what a great sense of humor you have and perfect traits of character to succeed. I am okay with everything because I will stick with this place till I accomplish my dreams. Just I thought about total newbies who without community support and friendliness can be miserable for a while if the person who invited them, would leave as orphans in the ocean of information at the beginning.
Cheers, be healthy and wealthy:)

Hi Jair, glad you didn't let one bad experience turn you away or put you off. Congrats on your progress! Yes it's a different experience here, people expect the same sort of system others are offering them online, not realizing the strategy or costs involved there, $20K wouldn't even get you close to some of the 'gurus' out there but it's a bit like MLM or something, give them $50k and they will position you, no matter how much crap you are selling, no questions asked except is that credit card going through...

I'm not sure what you meant though about affiliate programs, none of them should be charging you - remember to hit that pen icon and ask questions if something like this comes up again. If you look at magistudios webinars going back a bit before you came here you'll see he does teach getting traffic first before signing up - but the thing is some programs will allow commissions for newbies and don't have any time limits, so that's why there's a lot of freedom in this area. I try to post a number of those programs for newbies and people just starting with zero traffic.

So it's a race to be the next millionaire then?! I LOVE IT!!! GAME ON! Love that focus you bring to the platform Jair ;)

These networks don't charge you to join, but if you do not meet your quotas set out by them, then you will be charged by some and disbanded by others. Clickbank will charge you I believe its a dollar a month if no sales in 30 days, $2 for 60 days and I believe caps out at $5 for 90 days. Amazon will disband or terminate your contract if you have no sales for 60 or 90 days. I am a small print reader...even though a am blinder than a bat with cataracts lol Have a read into terms of service pages.
So I don't want to sign up until I have at least some traffic, I have not had a single organic view yet and I can't even find my site in the SERPS yet. I was page 8, graduating from page 12 but one-day poof...gone. My facebook group posted in 3 days on to page 6 but still no site and it is indexed. Kyle says weight, it will come and my site speed is all 90's, all other aspects of SEO I am 88% so I wait and write content and long ass msgs like this lol. Later Mrs T, say hello to Moon Raven for me. I will email her soon just been really busy trying to get 1 visitor lol

This is some excellent sharpshooting Mary, you hit the targets quite well, perhaps so well it might make a few uncomfortable.
"Kyle is my mentor" has become my constant affirmation until I finish the last bit of the course.
And though this might sound a bit esoterical, I've realized the power of intention if finding solutions. I've reached a point where sometimes I might not need to ask a question, the question answers itself in a matter of days. I discovered this when I realised that sometimes there's no one with the specific answer to your particular problem. And I'll just have to accept that as a possibility and learn to deal with it. Sometimes a particular problem comes up so that you can solve it and provide the solution for others who need it. That is also a life lesson right there. Just be patient and "Stick with the program", as you say. Things will work out.
This is definitely a lesson on keeping on the "straight and narrow".

Hello you guys. Complete newbie here. I totally agree. Thank you All.

Thank you, and welcome to WA! :)

WOW! That's some excellent sharpshooting right there yourself Ade! Love what you said in that last paragraph, definitely describing life as it unfolds for me, people out there try to sell those sort of life lessons for a lot of money!

Thanks Mary, these are very insightful and encouraging words that mean a lot to a relatively new member. With all of the new information as well as the doubts and confusing claims, this was a blessing for me. I will continue to work very hard at this new career and will be successful with the help of this caring community. Take care.

Mike

That's great to hear, Mike. Best wishes! :)

MozMary,
your today's post with serial personal account in E-marketing training, which I have similarly experienced and I hated them when I looked back, further deepens my trust in WA.
I am grateful for having you inside WA.

To assure my potential advance, off and on, I may seek your comment, which I realize being FREE out of WA camaraderie.

Thank you. I will work harder so I may be able to help others inside WA community.

Best Regards,

James

Great James, we are all WA ;)
