I know it's hard to believe but 20 minutes everyday doing one particular activity will do you more good than harm, especially if you want to accomplish a specific goal. About 2 years ago, I decided that I wanted to lose some weight. I did not have time to visit the gym as I had extremely long days, however I did not want that to be an excuse not to get my workout done. Therefore, I resorted to working out only 20 minutes every day for the rest of my life. At that point, my husband was also working constantly and we did not have much time with our son who missed us dearly. My husband saw the change in my body after a few months and decided to join the gym, even though he works about 6 days a week. He got motivated to attend the gym with the few hours that he had each day.

Committment

When you are committed to accomplishing any goal, no matter how large or small, you need to start developing habits that will help you achieve that goal. Not sure how many individuals have seen karate kid (1984), however when the master started training the young boy, he told him to polish the car every day and paint. This young boy would polish, until one day he was tired of doing it and was wondering why the old man was not teaching him anything. I will never forget the line the old man told the little boy "come back tomorrow" this was after he showed him that the skills he had been learning while polishing the car and painting were great ways for him to defend himself.

Point

In the process of working bit by bit on your business, sometimes you don't realize your progress but when you look back you realize all the skills that you have gained.

I am stronger now from my few minutes at the gym and have even increased my times. Nowadays I go to the gym with my husband and that has been great for us to work-out together.

What steps are you taking to work on your business?

Great post, Michelle--very true words you speak!

Thank you

You're welcome!

This is a very important lesson for us all Michelle. Even when we can’t commit hours to something, if we can commit a regular slot of time to something- even 20 mins per day - we can make great progress over time.
A 20 minute high intensity workout is great exercise too!

Thanks
Dave

Thank you Dave, that's right when you break down a huge task into smaller chunks you get more done. Yes high intensity workouts are great for both cardio and strength training.

Thanks for the reminder. I need to head to them gym too...

That's ok Stanley, enjoy your gym session.
