Moments Become Memories.
How has your 2017 been going? I hope you have had a wonderful year so far. There are 11 days left in the rest of 2017. The hope here that all your moments you've experienced in 2017 have been more good than bad, more up than down and better than expected.
My moments for 2017 have been mostly good, except for one thing. My wife of 20 years passed away. I had spent later part of 2017 morning her loss and still morn her loss today. But in morning her loss I had to start to remember the good times. I had to say to myself we had more happy moments than sad. We went on vacations, family reunions, birthday parties and so much more. Our families and friends have helped to keep us positive and getting through this process minute by minute and day by day. Yes, moments do become memories.
The best thing I have learned this year is that life is made to live moving forward. The moments that I have experienced will help to shape my future. In a 24 hour day there are 1,440 minutes or moments. Most of the time I find myself on autopilot. Just rinse and repeat each day. Get up at the same, take the same way to work, talk to the same people and go the same places , all the time. Since February of this year, 2017, I gained a new perspective about how I spend my time and who I spend my time with. I can't control time but I can control how and who I spend it with.
As I write this post and you read it, we will create a moment in our lives. My hope is that your moments of 2017 were awesome. I also the rest of 2017 will be the best of 2017. May the moments of 2018 bring you joy and happiness through each and every day.

Thank you for sharing. I can't imagine how it feels to lose your spouse of 20 years. You are very strong to keep going and pushing forward.

The holidays seem to be the time when we reflect on things. It sense lthat even though you are still mourning the woman you loved for so many years you realize that life is for the living. That’s huge. I’ve had many happy moments this year...my health is great, my husband and I are still learning new things about each other after almost 30 years and I have many grand plans for 2018.
