Defining Your 2018.

I heard an interesting quote about defining your 2018. The quote was " don't let your 2018 be defined by your 2017". I thought about that statement all day as I reflected on my 2017. Some of the things that happened last year in 2017 will have some carry over and effect my 2018,things like:

1)Change in my family structure.

2)How I spend my FREE time

3)My spending habits.

.

(1)Last year we suffered a huge loss to family structure. I went from co-parenting to being a single parent. I went from having a help mate to having to make all the decisions on my own. I have had to support our family as we grow through this healing process. Believe me when I started 2017 I had no idea how the year would end. I had no idea about the changes that was ahead for our family. Meanwhile during the 2017 year we went on several short vacations. We manage to have some fun and made the most out of a difficult year.I was still able to create some new positive relationships that I am truly grateful for.

(2)Spending time based on my experiences has had to change as well. No longer can I just take things for grated. If I am fortunate to get more time I have to spend it more wisely. If I choose not to spend my time wisely I can assure you, I will not get it back! I must value each and everyday

no matter how it goes.

(3) I heard a wise man once say, with regards to money, " It not how much money you make , but, it's how much you keep". I know there are a lot of things you can learn about money. Money is not everything but it sure pays for almost of the trips around the world. My focus has been one of a continuing learning process. I understand that I must pay attention to how and where I spend my money. We all have good and bad spending habits like not spending more than we have. Paying attention to how we use our credit card(s). If you have a financial goal in mind and are you willing to sacrifice to get there, then you are well on your way. If money can fix my our problems then it's not so bad. Some problems money will not be able to repair.

Be blessed in 2018.
