Surrounded by Skeptics
Many times I had a fantastic idea or found information online that I claimed was the best discovery and would lead me to a great career. I think the people around me have lost their faith in me. Now when I talk about wealthyaffiliate.com to my family they lose interest. My husband asks what I've been up to all day while he is at work and I tell him I've been working on starting my website with the help of wealthyaffiliate.com. His irritation is apparent before I'm even finished speaking. The rest of my family (very small family) doesn't really say anything when I talk about it. They just smile, nod, and then change the subject. Same situation with my friends.
I know wealthyaffiliate.com is the greatest site because it does everything I have been doing for other people's websites except it's all in one place and most of it is automated. Now instead of using various different apps and programs that leaves me half lost the majority of the time or wrestling with code, I have it all in one place and it's all for my own website.
I think all the support I receive here makes all the difference. Even by just reading what other people have to say or making progress with another course gives me motivation to keep going and believe in myself. I can't wait until I make any amount of profit. Then they will be believe in me like I already do.

Don' worry Morgan many of us have been in that situation. You are doing something that most of your family and friends haven't the courage to try. They probably read about internet scams and think or are worried you will be scammed.
For the first few months, at least, you will have to be your best supporter. Of course, the community here will be right behind you and cheering you on. You can and will do it!
I would not really worry about them for right now you keep doing what you are doing and when you start generating an income you will have the last laugh then.
I have had a similar experience and was quite upset about the response until I realised the people closest to me were afraid I would become a different person and they were fearful of that possibility. So, now I don't even talk to them about it. That's okay, though, because I have changed and they seem to relate quite well to the person I am becoming.
Hang in there. It will get better and I am sure they will be less skeptical when you finally hit the success level
