I have switched themes recently too Astra and am having difficulty adding a header image to my page. Is there a trick to this? Anyone use this theme that can help me out??
Hey Montana,
Google searching "astra wp theme documentation" (without the quotation marks, of course), there are all sorts of help both in print and in video form.
Have you look through those yet?
Okay... then try this search "add header image to astra wp theme" (again, without the quotation marks.
i have installed this theme - possibly cheated by using elementor to create a site wide header -with video.
whats seems to be the problem

You also have the opportunity to find out from the theme developer if they can help. Scroll to the bottom of the web page and find their information there. Personally once I start a site I don't like to change the themes for too many reasons.
Hope this helps,
RitaAnn~

Needing some inspiration here - I can't seem to make up my mind on which theme is best for a blogging site. What is your go to? Points for easy to navigate ;)
Easy for me. I use Thrive Themes and Astra, as my go themes / page builders/ plugins of choice
I have two different sites ( both on my profile here at WA) for two different things, and both integrate with each other nicely
IF possible, avoid FREE themes, because while free is good normally, when it comes to WordPress, well you might as well handcuff one hand behind your back, not that I am suggesting you should handcuff yourself!!... But having used Free for years and experienced the frustrations, then gone premium, I know which I prefer : )
Another thing to bear in mind is this, it depends on what your niche is as as well, because you get themes which are specific to niches
Have a look at this link, it may help. https://www.codeinwp.com/blog/elementor-vs-divi-builder-vs-beaver-builder/
I'm a huge fan of Divi Theme by Elegant Themes it is paid but well worth it. If you need info on it let me know.
Hi Montana,
I recommend Divi theme. It is not free, but it has a lot of features and is very fast.
Hello Montana,
I was recently researching this same question and a lot of google searches mentioned Astra. I've looked at the theme myself with a live preview of my own site and I think with some work it would look good.
I also took a liking to Striker, Hiero and Classic Blog Theme (currently using) as well.
Not quite sure what the best is at this point since I'm new to this and more focused on getting content written and less on design, but hopefully these few themes can help point you in the direction of finding what you like and don't like in a theme.

Any specific recommendations for WordPress themes that allow you to sell specific packages (counselling etc) ?
I know there is WooCommerce plug-in for selling items, but
Hey Montana,
Rob's tutorial may offer you some help finding one: Changing Themes OR
You could also try Google searching for some examples. See screen print below for suggestions...
Hope you find this helpful.
Hi Montana, haven't seen you for awhile. I do not know of a theme relating to counselling but I will be searching for a different theme for myself. Will message you if I find anything relating to what you are looking for
Glad to hear you're coming along Montana.
If you need anything, let me know.
I am here for you.
Oh, I am good.
All the best

woocommerce does have a theme attached if you want it.
but now with the gutenberg editor you have some woo blocks available to add products to your articles.
but have a look at astra theme and the attached theme addon.
there are prepackaged elementor themes setup for you.
good luck

I am wondering about moving my website. I am unable to afford my WA premium membership right now as my accounts are still frozen.
If I stay on the basic membership - do I
Yes, as Maxine recommend, contact Kyle and explain your unique situation. I think you paid already for the domain, so you should be fine.
Man!!
Stay strong, Montana!
Thinking on you! Sending you love!!
Aloha, Jenna
Hoping things work out for you. Seems you have put a lot into your training and site. All the best
Hey Montana,
Please do speak with Kyle before making your final decision. https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/message/kyle
Be sure to select "Billing & Membership" so that you receive a blank textbox that will be clearly labeled "Contact Kyle or Carson". This way, your message will arrive in Kyle's inbox.
Hope you find this helpful.
Unfortunately there's no way to downgrade a Premium membership to a Starter one.
When you cancel, you will lose access to WA. You'll still be able to log into your site for up to 30 days by going to your site URL and adding /wp-admin at the end and logging in with the username and password for your account on that site.
After 30 days your site will be removed.
You can use a backup or transfer plugin to move your site to a new hosting service.

I am looking to hear some of your experiences writing and selling ebooks. Is it worth it? What software do you use to publish? Do you sell on Amazon? Are there other places to
Hi Montana,
You might like to have a look at my blogs $500 While I Slept and $725 While I Slept. Can I Do $800 for December? .
I'm in the process of creating a 3-part course on writing books and publishing them on Amazon and I'll let everyone know when Part 1 is ready for reading and download.
You'll notice that I said "books" not "e-books". You should always aim to publish as both a paperback and an e-book. If you do it correctly from the start, you can single-source so that there's no additional work.
The paperback royalties are higher.
Hi Phil, I was born in 1944...good connection.
If you would like to read my book and write a review for me I would be happy to send you a free copy to your email.
I'm happy that there are other authors here. It would be good to connect.

Hello there Montana. I have published an ebook and a paperback on Kindle...same title. Kindle is very easy. Just upload your manuscript in MS Word after you are done with your editing. Follow the instructions and it is truly easy to follow. Kindle also gives you choices for a great book cover for both ebook and paperback.
Hope this helps.
Joe
I am going to be doing that soon maybe next week, Just write like your post. On whatever niche you are going to write about there lot's of fancy covers. Also, you can sell your E-Book on Amazon, Check them out to give you some Ideas
My daughter has two novellas published on Amazon. She only sells a few books per month, but she's new at it and just starting to get her name out there, so I can't necessarily speak to whether it is "worth it" or not. She thinks it "totally is", as she says. lol.
What I can say that it was a relatively simple process. She hired someone to design her covers, and then it's just basically uploading the cover image and the book in PDF form onto CreateSpace, which is the self-publishing arm of Amazon. The system pretty much takes care of the rest.
I say go ahead and throw it out there and see what happens--especially if you're 75% there already. Even if you only sell a handful of copies, that's more than you would have sold if you didn't, right? :-)
Montana,
We have a Premium Member his name is Phil he
has experience writing books and knows how to
get them published on Amazon for Free - keep
your eyes open for him he does blog post fairly
regularly.

Hi Montana, I have just finished writing my autobiography and hope to have it published as an ebook next week. Most of the work I did myself but chose to outsource rather than self publish. I found someone on Upworks who was able to turn it from a doc to a Kindle file and he will be publishing and helping me to market it.
If you would like to read my book and write a review for me I would be happy to send you a free copy to your email.
I'm happy that there are other authors here. It would be good to connect.

Hi Sylvia! I would be honoured to read and review your autobiography!! Send me a PM and I will send you my email! How wonderful!
Aloha Montana!
I published seven books, four of them as e-books at Amazon Self Publishing KDP!
I will keep the link to this question and talk to you next year!
I'm here for you!
Hope you are doing well and will find those guys and get back every penny! Thinking often on you!
Send you love and light!!
Happy New Year!
Aloha, Jenna
I don't have experience in writing e-books, although I have thought of doing it as well. Actually, writing an ebook is one of my goals for 2019 :)
