If people have joined WA using your link, they will be listed here: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/share/referrals

Hi! Usually your link looks like this (see picture on this comment). At the end of the link is the part that ties to your user here at WA. I hope that makes sense.

You can find your affiliate links if you click on the airplane at the top and choose Links & Tracking.
Make sure that you use the correct and complete links to send people to WA.
You can also create custom links that send people to your own signup page.

How do you build a custom link to your signup page?

On the links and tracking page there is a big blue button that says 'Create a custom link'.
There you have 3 choices for what to do.
There is also this training: And many others.

You should also tell your friends to delete their cookies first, before entering WA through your link, WA serves us with a lifetime cookie and when they have clicked before on another link, they could be added to that account

Good to know but not everyone wants to delete their cookies just to sign up. I am not sure how I would respond if someone asks me to delete cookies before looking at my niche site where I hope they get curious and click on my WA banner and explore that.
So far I am only sharing my WA banners I do not have a WA info site as of yet ( not into the boot camp yet but soon I hope)

You are right, I asked my daughters before they entered, but I do not ask others

I suppose I should ask someone to do a test for me to check to make sure this is all working correctly.

You can test it yourself incognito

I did test incognito and one of mine only showed as the banner link and not to my sales page or affiliate link. I had numerous likes but sadly they would not have been able to access my link and if interested would not have been credited to me. :(

When you share the direct link it will not have the affiliate ID, you need to use the html code

Ok, thanks Loes,
I will need to look at that more, so that I get it correct before I share it out on the web.

Are you using the links from your tab links and tracking?

I believe those are the ones that I am using. Some are with the banners. The number that I see in the account number is the same at the end of the link.

I show activity in my stats but not a lot. A question. These stats are they only for WA link tracking or is the hits on the website pages and posts also?

This may help you out Monika. This training should answer all those questions.

Thanks I will check that out.

Your welcome

Hey Monika,

You might find the following tutorial very helpful in finding any broken links on your website: Hope this helps you.

Thanks I will give that a try too.

Your link should look like this
https://www.wealthyaffiliate(dot) c o m/?a_aid=ur-affiliate-number

Hi Marlinda,
I checked my link and it does show the same link as in links to my WA site.

Go to your links and click on them yourself and see if it shows up in your stats. Also verify that you're using a n affiliate link and not just copying the regular URL.

You need to install WordPress on your website so you can start using it. Go to Site Rubix > Site Builder and build your website.

I am looking for suggestions to improve my home page. At the moment it is not very inviting to the rest of my website. It is a very long end to end blog roll. I am looking fo

When you are creating a new post, click on the text button at the top right hand side of the post you are creating. Then place your cursor where you want the text to end on your post and click on the "more" tab. This way your post will be displayed up to that point with the option of clicking to read more.

Thank you ... I will try that. So I will need to do that with each and every post individually.. correct?

Yes with each new post your create

When you ask a question like this, you get likely more reactions when you add some data Monika

Thank you ... I should have been more clear. I will edit..

Hiya Monika, I like the idea of using excerpts on the home page. It gives the reader a quick easy idea as to what other reading choices they have.

I actually like your site appearance... really nice and clean and I love your images and they way you use them... very, very nice!

The only thing that catches my eye at first glance is the menu. If possible I think that I would shorten up each tab so that they are all on one line.

Great job partner!

Thank you. I appreciate your comments. What do you think would look best as a home page
A: an ongoing list of blog headers with shortened listings
B: A home page with links via images to different subjects found on my site.
I appreciate you opinion thx

I'm sorry it took so long to get back to ya' Monika...
I've tried option B and it looked more like a sitemap. I thought it was great at the time but it really wasn't engaging the readers. My traffic all came from folks clicking on links that took them to specific reviews and posts.

When I went back to option A, I noticed a lot more traffic coming through the home page and more importantly an increase in the amount of time folks were spending on my site.

I'm still a pretty big fan of having your blog roll on your home page. But I have to tell ya'... there are more and more themes now that allow you to easily have different areas or sections on your home page allowing you to have our blog roll and also other more 'static' type of areas too.

I'm a huge fan of Elegant's Divi theme but there are some pretty great free versions that are leaning towards the Divi camp in their home page functionality!

Hopin' that helps a wee!!!

It seem some of my pages would be better as posts.

You can copy and paste it into a post and then delete the page

Will it take the comments along with it?

I don't believe so. I wanted to do the same thing so what I did was copied the page and pasted it into a post and then deleted the page. Hope this helps. Off to WL shortly

You can use the post type switcher plugin to do this smoothly

I will look for this plug in... thanks

Just copy the content from your page to a new post. That's the easiest and simplest way I believe.

Can I take the comments along too?

Oh, you have comments attached? Try this thread:

Thanks

This thread only show the same question that I have.

Yeah so look at the answers and see what people say.

Yes silly me.. that would be a great idea..

Most questions have previously been asked already ;)

Sadly this information is 3 years old and it only talks about cut and pasting. But I cant find anything about being able to take comments along.
Any other ideas about where I could search.. before I contact Wordpress help.

I find these by just searching up at the search bar at the top of this WA site.

A question. I want to sign up to Amazon using a new email and it seems to got to the one I have purchased through before doing WA. Is Amazon sticky about only wanting people to

I only have one e-mail account. I think that's all you need, but be careful with amazon. i would not get an account with them until you have lots of traffic. I lost my account and have to reapply because I did not make any sales in the first 3 months.

They said on their sign up 180 days to make a sale so I am taking a chance I suppose. Hope for at least a small sale before then.
But wow the information the want. I didnt want to give them everything but its the only way they will let you sign up.

You can always reapply if not, but I think you'll do fine. You've got a good niche there.

Thanks.

!

Sometimes when you change your email address the company sends you a confirmation email which you need to respond to before the change is confirmed.

You only need one account with Amazon for multiple websites.

Well it is that I did not want to link my personal shopping email with my work one but that is the only way that they me sign in. I suppose they dont want people to have multiple accounts.

Imagine you have several accounts. Then your percentage for commissions will be lower than if you have one account for several sites. It is hard to get to 7.5% or 8%. Better have cumulative effect.

You should probably contact them about this and tell them that you want your email changed. Also, you can do this from your associates profile page. I am pretty sure you can change your email from there.

Ok I will check that out. Thanks

Amazon don't like you having more than one associates account. Pretty sure it's against their terms of service.

Thanks that makes sense.
