I hope things are going well Moira! I want to remind you of one thing, your hard work and dedication IS going to pay off. Keep working through the training, communicating within the community, and of course, ask for help when you need it.

Just heading out for a bit here, but do leave me a message if you need a hand with anything. You should have Premium communication back for an additional 7 days now, so hit me up when you get a chance Moira!

Hi Moira ! I hope you are doing great and enjoying WA!

I just wanted to ask if you needed any help. It's easy to get "stuck" in the beginning, but we are always here to make your journey as smooth as possible.

What do you think about the community and training so far? Have you built your website? If so, let's take a look! Maybe I can give you some pointers.

All the best and have a great week!

Hi Stefan,

Thank you for checking back with me :)
Yes indeedI did hit a block - the predicted one - finding a niche!!

I posted a blog yesterday about a few main 'passions' I suppose - trying to weigh them up against each other.

What do I like to talk/write about? - it depends a LOT on who I'm talking to lol!

Kyle suggested "who do I want to help" - a better premise for me, but I'm one of those people that's always fixing the world (verbally anyway lol!)

I've spent so many years wading through applications/evidence/supporting documents etc. for various authorities or benefits etc. on behalf of my own family - I feel sorry for all those folk out there who struggle and suffer because bureaucracy in our country is insane! I've often thought about offering help somehow - but it would be a very depressing line of work. (Selfish aren't I?)

Maybe I should just develop a passion for refrigerators/dishwashers/pianos or BMWs....!? Houses??

Slightly higher turnover in those areas than in my world....

What do you think?

Hi Moira,

It's my pleasure to help. First of all, as you are just starting out, I advise you don't be too concerned about picking the "right" niche. There is no perfect niche... But the reason I am saying that is because maybe you will have to get experience before you pick something that you enjoy and ALSO make money from.

As you learn affiliate marketing, as you learn how all the process works and what is required in terms of traffic and sales, then you will be more and more confident you picked the best niche for you or not.

However, it's always best to choose something you have a genuine interest in, a hobby etc. Well, obviously, not every niche will give you the same earning potential. There must be a balance here, you see.

Personally, I think promoting information products (training, tutorials) offers a higher potential than physical products. But it depends...

There are advantages and disadvantages of both strategies, but usually, information products pay commissions of 50%.

Clickbank is a huge marketplace for digital products. Visit their website https://accounts.clickbank.com/marketplace.htm and browse the different categories there. Maybe it can help you get some ideas for niche by researching the type of products you will eventually promote.

However, never lose sight of choosing something you will feel comfortable talking about.

The recipe for failure is choosing a topic you don't like much just because the commissions are high. Avoid that.

Also, search on google for authority websites in your chosen niche. What are they writing about? What are they promoting? Study them carefully and see if you can get some inspiration from them, and how you can give your unique contribution.

I hope this helps... just let me know on your progress.

All the best

Yes thank you Stefan that is a great help!

I have downloaded (purchased) many many information products like those you mention, over many years so I'm grateful you drew my attention to those. I hadn't considered them!!

And while I do think I've chosen a way-too-broad niche - it actually reflects where I am, because the world of Graphic Design is extensive, and I am still feeling my way, trying to see which areas suit me, which I am skilled or talented with and so on.

I guess there are informational products for a multitude of markets and niches - so I'll check out what there is in relation to the world of creativity!

And I will let you know how it goes :)

Thank you so much!

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)

Hey Stefan I just noticed you are based in London UK. I love US initiatives but it is always good to see them working for folks over here too. I would love to hear how your WA journey is going, especially as you have been with WA for a couple of years. Are your goals nearer? achieved? Have you seen significant income growth over this time.
My problem is that I need to change our financial state very quickly. I know it doesn't happen overnight and anything worth doing takes work. But before I sign up for the Premium membership I would like to be fairly sure I can at least cover the $49 a month by July - solely through WA - plus a little extra!!
I hope that's not expecting too much.
Thank you so much for your welcome message above :)

Hi Moira, it's great to hear from you.

I have been with WA for 2 years and I achieved part of my goals. Check out my recent blog posts. The goal for now is earning enough to quit my job. in London this challenge is much bigger, but I like the challenge.

You should not expect much revenue during the first year. Until July is such a short time because you need Google to rank your articles well. It takes time to gain trust with Google, so the first year is focused on building the foundation and getting visitors.

If you are serious about building an online business, you should give at least 1 year. If the money situation is difficult, then I recommend you sort this out first and then invest in the yearly membership. With yearly membership you will save a lot! It drops to $29/ month.

Hey Stefan thank you so much!! The yearly membership option sounds very good indeed. Your advice is just what I needed. Its always better to ask isn't it? Otherwise I would plod away and six months in probably give up and decide 'its a scam' - as happens so often.
I worked as a MLM distributor (on and off) for the last 14 years, for a UK company - great ethics, great plans and they are huge on support. Many people who made more money than I did, left and said it was a bad deal. I know however that it does work - even though it didn't work for me. Cold face-to-face sales is just not my strength.
I also have a little web hosting business that never really got off the ground. I serve a few family members and that's it. So quite apart from the potential income I see in WA - I believe that I will learn a lot about web-based business and increasing traffic - that may help my existing efforts too!
I will definitely give WA a year - maybe a couple of years - before making such a judgement :) !!
As regards my dire financial state - I will have to figure out another solution for the immediate future. Thank you for making that clear.

Hi Moira, when I got started I had no experience with marketing and sales. I had never built a website, I didn't know what hosting was... Lol. So trust me, you are in a very good position. Just take one step at a time and give your business time to grow. You will achieve great things If you stick to it and take action.
All the best,

Atefan
