I don't have any experience with "fiver" but I do know Loes has done some great graphics. I would follow her lead.

Apparently, you would shorten your link. People click through and when they leave your site they get a pop up and you get a commission. Any thoughts?
No idea what that is. Personally though, I get these stupid commercial popups on my computer, just out of the blue, and bugs the heck out of me. I absolutely detest having something pop up when I wasn't even looking it up
Yeah, I agree with you Tom and Katie. I think that it will leave my readers with a bad taste in their mouths and that is the opposite of what I am trying to achieve. Thank you all for your responses

Most people hate pop ups and it could hurt your credability but that is just my thoughts. To each his own. Good luck

There are many ways to earn and some maybe not right for what we do on the lessons -both Bootcampm and Cert, course will keep us busy on the WA way --however you can focus on that type of thing if you want. People do well with those types on income producing ads clicking through --ads that pay you for the click--look here and many others have great teaching you can take

I think several people are misunderstanding the term 'social bookmarking'.

Nice thread; however, I would not have used the term "Bad Idea". We cannot overlook the value of social branding for your good-self and your product or service. Social branding should be part our marketing plan, but if as I understand the point here, - spending all of you time or too much of your time on Social Sites is a time waster. Add another time wasters - Forums, Skyping, Groups, etc. Make your presence known and then get in an out and on to more productive activities
I liked this conversation because I was under the impression that you have to join Facebook, Twitter, etc. to enhance sales online. I am relieved this is not true.

I have a page per website on Facebook and G+.
When I make a post or page I share it on those pages, and on all the other share tabs I have on my sites. ( I have accounts for each share tab)

I say that it can be a bad idea simply because people end up hanging out on social when they could be investing this time into constructive processes to build their business.
Too many people think they are social marketing by simply being on a social network like Facebook. A lot can be said for the amount of time that people waste on social networks with no results.
If I was given a choice between having no social accounts at all and building content, I would choose building content in a heartbeat. Content leads to rankings, rankings lead to traffic, traffic leads to revenue.
It is few and far between that you will see any real tangible conversions from social, it is more an exercise in branding.

Don't feel like you have to do social Wayne, people throw around the term like it is the be all end all to business online. You can be very successful without knowing a lick of social these days and this will remain true for some time. It is not the "core" of a business, it is an accessory.

It is more that your social audience will see it as spam. If you are using social and not getting engagement when you post stuff, then it is 100% useless. If you spam people, you are going to have no friends and no engagement and automated tools are simply spam tools.
