We have posted no end here about the effects of happiness and positive attitudes. Some entities are doing something about it.

Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness Is a central axiom in the United Sates.

The pursuit of happiness is now a multibillion-dollar industry. Americans lay out $11 billion a year in search of a happy-ever-after., according to Ruth Whippman, the author of In 1999, the Gallup Organization hosted the initial Positive Psychology Summit.

This was held in Miami which has been dubbed the happiest place to work., but a nagging misery hung about the travelers headed there on an overbooked plane from New York. A flight attendant was reported as saying that the passengers were unusual in their anticipation. The flight originated in New York City a hotbed of depressive attitudes.

US businesses lost around $500 billion in revenue due to unhappy employees. The United States is currently 14th in global happiness, lagging behind countries like Denmark and New Zealand, reported by the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network’s world happiness report.

There is a global epidemic of workplace depression. Business have a vested interest in venues and programs to put the play back into life in times of economic depression

Unhappiness at work is a problem. But whatever the company provides to make its employees more happy, if we as individuals don't work on our happiness, it will not help.

Happiness is the fruit of right thinking and right believing. When your thinking and believing are right then you become overwhelmed with happy emotions.

thanks, Mike, workplace depression is a big issue.

Great post. Thank you.

I am finding W A a happy place :)) Thanks Mike

My profile description is somewhat a lot like this post! I'd say it's close to being pretty accurate to a certain degree.

Why? Because this post reminds me of a few things such as the hamster in a wheel, a rat race, and chasing the rabbit. With no way out.

I absolutely love money and believe that it makes life very comfortable. They say money is the root of all evil, but it depends on who's hand it's in. I'm not wealthy as of yet and I really hope to be some day so that I don't have too ever be included in this 9-5 race.

Now that is called misery! That's depression, a cardinal sin, and God forbid!

May I and everyone hear find success online.

Thanks for posting!

Becky

Hello, Becky. I want to correct something that you wrote. Money is not the root of all evil but the love of money is. Money is seed and means of payment and we have to learn to use it as seed and as means of payment the right way. And when we have the right attitude we will be happy all the time; when we sow and when we reap.

Hi,

I appreciate your comment, but in the comment I left I am agreeing with you. I don't think you read it correctly.

Meaning you treat it with kindness by sharing and giving and than it will take very good care of you. Give to the poor, help the homeless, the needy, less fortunate, pay for someone's groceries, buy someone a car, better still buy them a house. Give to charities. That's a good thing; too me that's happiness.

Plus, I'll take being happy and very wealthy over being poor and struggling any day of the week. Personally, I don't understand how any one can be happy being poor, but if some people are happy with getting by and with just enough, then I'm happy for them. But for me and my household, I prefer to be happy with being wealthy and not the other way around!

I grew up with believing that money was the root of all evil. We had cars that were falling apart because we thought it was evil to have money. When I woke up was when I realized that money could make lives a whole lot better and that money was not evil, but good.

This was not part of my comment and IS part of Mkearns post question, so I will address this now. For the ones that have jobs where management is unethically rude, or the ones that dislike their jobs, well these are the ones I feel bad for and want to help. And hats off to them and a bow, but for me it would be impossible for me to find happiness in a job I didn't like. I'd manage, but I would not want to be in that spot.

So, with that being said, I have to find the right keywords build a website with great content, and take advantage of the Premium membership here at Wealthy Affiliate I'll do it, rest assured, and God willing, that's my goal in life! And I will! And I'll be happy :) And I'll be wealthy. This opportunity is available to all.

So, I really don't understand your comment! :)

And back to the comment that got us here in the first place: Money being the root of evil! It depends on who's hand it falls into!

So therefore, when money is used for anything else but good, then it becomes the root of all evil.

Have an excellent night or day depending on what part of the world you live in.

Becky :)

Hello, Becky. Sorry that I have disturbed you. I think that it's a misunderstanding through our use of words. I believe that money is never the root of evil. Someone can abuse money due to his intention or love for money. So his intention or love for money is evil. You may like to have a lot of money, to be a blessing for your family or others, but fall in love with money is a root of evil.
Thank you for the sharing.

This is ver interesting, and thank you for sharing.

Depression is everywhere. Depression can sometimes be a normal reaction to circumstance. Many of us have a mild form of it from time to time. Medications are sometimes required when the depression interferes with their daily activities. I think many of us would profit from counseling. Thanks for the info.

The O'mIghty dollar is foremost before love and kindness. Until money takes a backward seat, people will find no inward happiness.

Thanks Mike. I will check out the link this evening.

Thank goodness we, at WA, have such a happy workplace.

If more organizations were structured the way WA is, there would likely be happier employees in traditional companies.

Working together and helping one another can generate positive feelings.

I choose happiness.

I like it much better than its alternative.

Yes, even without making any money!

Hi there. welcome to another great day!

I would have stayed up 'til the wee hours of the night/morning to make sure we connected!
Your posts and support make this a happy place for me to work!
