Ways we communicate
Communication comes in many flavors. There is a special form of communication which applies to everything we do as promoters. It also applies to us as marketers, niche specialists, wrters and effective business change agents. Haven't guessed it yet? The word is content!
Content is our business, our websites and the justification of our writing. I will deal with the seven justifiers of good content. Case by case.
- The professionalism of control. This is necessary to avoid boredom on one hand and variable rambling on the other. Your written message must be on point and be instantly recognized as authoritative by the reader!
- Remember we are human and we must communicate in human terms. You are communicating with a dear friend or neighbor. Nobody really wins an argument. A person convinced against their will is of the same opinion still.
- Radiate confidence. Be sure of yourself and let it show. A "can do"attitude radiates that you are willing to perform the job.
- Show competence. You and only you can perform needed tasks and do them well. Always clearly radiate what you bring to the table. Have verifiable proof and credibility for everything you do.
- People can jjackrabbit and panic easily. Show calm, collected control. Be "in charge". This is the heart of guidance
- People aren't meant to navigate in a fog. Radiate clarity. When you delegate direction in an unclear manner, you aren't doing business properly.
- Related to clarity is timeliness. Be brief as needed and don't waste anyone's time. Lay out
- needed direction and send them on their way. Keep the business on track!
Every website, content marketing piece, sales letter, and query is a form of questing content. A library can be looked at as a repository of formal literary content. It is important the content be read. All of our work is an unending quest for feedback. May our fortunes multiply in the endeavor!
