Water water in the tap
After looking at this informational I was blown away at the waste in the manufacture and preparation of bottled water. It may be the answer for a third world country where osmosis or other filtering attributes are necessary. Such places are infected with bacteria or foreign particles. It has, however, no place in a sustainable convenience oriented economy.
Osmosis is not really a cure all. It simply involves filtering and refiltering of water through selected minerals. Silicates are the most prevalent. This is the best option. If you choose to go this route chose a home water filtration unit.
I have the blessing of a natural well and a good water table so this is a no brainer for me. Water is a sustainable natural resource and it is recyclable. It is estimated the average person in London has recycled 13 average 16 oz glasses of water, . For New York City it's probably more like 6.
The appeal of some bottled water like Fiji water is the virgin sourcing from underground springs over the millennia Even in a remote area like that there has been nuclear testing in the open air.
We all need at least 8 healthy 8 oz glasses of water a day in our daily lives. Yours in health and abundance on the great ship Wealthy Affiliate!

Not to mention the tons and tons of plastic trash floating in the ocean. I just filter my water right at the tap.
I love water but can't stand the taste of the chlorine that is put into it. I learned that if I put the lid on the bottle upside down for 24 hours the chlorine evaporated and I could drink the tap water.

Drink the tap water down here at your own risk! Nobody does, it is not safe. So we all buy those big blue 20 liter bottles and that's how it is done. I just keep refilling the same small 4 plastic bottles so we do not contribute to more plastic garbage.
We all need those 8 glasses, that's for sure.
We have come a long way and I personally believe it is getting better. New York has made major change, but still have a long way to go. Preparations are being made as we speak. Thanks, Mike.
Good evening Mike,
There is already too much plastic floating in the oceans.
Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske
Interesting, we have to also be cautious about what we consume, some bottled water is of poorer quality than tap water. Thanks for sharing.
You must've missed the AP news story yesterday that talked about how dangerous our tap water truly is! It all needs to be filtered.
I don't trust the tap water here where i live. Which is why i use a shower filter and a berkey to filter my drinking water. Pre bottled water or (most municipal) tap water is not fit for consumption or showering/bathing in, i believe.

I agree Mike, shocking waste wherein plastics end up in the sea as floating islands.
I filter my water from the tap.
Cheers Jae
Kick those gyres Jae!
