Waste and greed

A large source of problems out there are that businesses have no soul We lack as a human species a clear ability to justly apportion resources with need It requires the incentive to draw back and look at the big picture.

In the US and I dare say many other countries There have wisely been built into the tax code the application of charitable giving. This a greedy reason To be charitable.

It's not totally oxymoronic It's one of the most fought over parts of the tax law. The financial awards of being giving oriented are the greatest reason why time and again proposals to cut back this portion of taxes will fail.Indeed, it is a major reason why the "one tax" concept will never take off for the foreseeable future.

To make the world a better place EVERY jurisdiction whether it be state, county, province, canton, prefect ire oblast...whatever needs charitable giving provisions.in the tax code. We already know in WA how it pays dividends for us. If it can be taken to the government level,,world satisfaction woulld not only improve, it would soar!

The most terrible thing is that each of us pays too much tax compared to the multinationals. They end up with zero profit and obtain that by spending it in rubbish deducable costs... rotten.

We should adapt and stop the input of deducable costs ... that would bring balance. Since individuals can not bring them in in their final tax balance.... one of the biggest sources of tax injustice...

Thanks Mike
The large corporations & some governments have a lot to answer for. The greed & illegal practices deny many from what should be rightfully theirs.
Sorry trying to find the correct words.

Nice Post!
This would be so much better if people would give 1% of what they have (and honestly don't really need to survive) to the ones that don't have anything.

Thanks for sharing that wishful thought!

Great Post Mike the homeless rate is soaring every day because this country is been put in a position that it should never been put in. We could feed and put people back to work in no time at all.

The big companies merge together and then they are still going out of business so where did that get us nowhere.

Sear, Kmart, Toy R Us, many of these companies are still going out of business even with the mergers. So it really doesn't matter anymore.

Sad. Thanks for sharing, Mike. The U.S. don't know how to budget to make the deficit go down.

Kinda of sad.

Great post about an issue that most countries need to deal with in one form or another.

Just did a little research and learned that Finland is the only country in Europe as of March 2017 to offer homeless people low rent housing of their own. There were some objections to this concept for reasons such as interacting with people from the low cost homeless neighborhoods and conflict of interest in policies from NGOs.

Overall the article seemed to show that the collective population of Norway made a decision they needed to deal with the issue. That no one deserved to be homeless when in the unfortunate event they find themselves homeless.

In my home country of Canada everyone has the right to "free" health care which is paid for by our taxes. Another issue many countries need to address.

Home many billions of people exist on the earth? And how many of those are rich? How many corporations depend on those billions to make their money? When the majority of people on our planet decide things will change, history has shown things change.

We all can end a habit or begin a new one in our next breath if we really are ready to do what is necessary.

We all need to look within, seek help if necessary to understand why we are making the decisions that have led us to this point. Once you get yourself sorted and everyone else does the same real change can occur.

thought commentary -- agree, beautiful new change can occur within a fraction of a nanosecond ...

thanks kindly for posting this message, as it is a very serious issue for Earth and humanity ... the level of conscious awareness is gaining ground and hopefully gaining traction as we (humans) need to live differently >> most understand that the current trajectory is into oblivion ... or rather sixth extinction which has been written about ... sooner than everyone thinks ...

... and now, what is to be done?! ...

It’s good to be thankful and hope for the best! I agree that the world changing and people are starting to wake up! This is what I say to my son. Instead of asking him “What do you what to be when you grow up?” I ask him “Who do you want to help today son?” He tells me right away he wants to help the homeless. My son is my hero and I will help him in every step of the way.

Based on the responses I'd like to join the polar bears in Finland, Norway and Sweden

hey Prof. Mikey -- with the ice floes and glaciers melting -- are you sure about that? ...

Hi Dj -- thoughtful -- technically, Earth is home! ... and every living being here now needs a home including all our 'animal' & marine life friends and the plant kingdom ... so what are we (humans) doing to the habitat for all our 'friends' ... is it too late? ...
