Not to be outdone a reawakened NASA has a 25% stake in the shared lunar proceedings At the general level it makes sense to set our sights on the moon instead of Mars.as the economic factors become obvious, I anticipate a redirection of the SPACE EX and Elon Musks'programs to a more sensible lunar platform. Economics are going to force a redirection in Musk's esoteric programs in short order.
The reasons for this are many:
- Fuel invested in lift off of materials in and around the surface will be minimal compared to a Martian enterprise
- Far more material transport and communication is feasible due to easily made repetitive trips as opposed to Mars
- It's already been recently proven that water is available as found in deep craters
- Water may be more readily available as ice on the far side
- Needed minerals from bulldozed rock to more noble material looks to be available within reach of surface and low penetration mining equipment`
We in Wealthy Affiliate need to be on the first band wagon on the ventures to come. The enterprises involved will generate an enormous opportunity for affiliate marketing.

I remember that day well.
Back when everything NASA did was televised and I was glued to the “tube” watching every minute I could.
From “we have liftoff” to “the capsule has landed” safely back on earth.
It’s still a miracle to me, and I miss the news coverage of those events compared to what is considered “news” today.

You did it again. This time your post was a big help, I will explain.
I was going to tell you that when we have reached the stage of settling down on the moon we might be in for a big surprise.
To explain to you what I meant I had to go back to one of the first posts I wrote. There I discovered a link was not a link and a video was not available. So just as well I found out about that and could rectify.
Anyhow, I was going to tell you that time ago I found interesting information on the website the living moon. They have many categories on there but one is specifically on unusual things seen on the moon. You will find on: Aristarchus Crater, Electric Blue Gem or Fusion Reactor an intriguing story of something which was discovered 12 years ago. "They" might be there already.

Good afternoon my friend. I love this post I'm one of those people who dream about space travel. It is my understanding that major corporations are actually the ones that are doing the most now, in fact one of them which I can't remember the name at this moment is actually creating vessels for citizen transportation in space. Once again thank you for this article it was a pleasure and may you have a fantastic successful week.
The quest is underway as we speak. I see the lunar landing as a better target to gain continued financial investment from big corporations for mining precious materials vital to Earth. The moon could be the gateway to other planetary expeditions. The link you provided was very informative and the first news that I have heard about this adventure. Seems our media only knows how to report (belly-ache) about political differences.

I agree. Imagine being a person 50 years ago and trying to imagine what it would be like in 2019. I don't think we can even imagine where we'll be in another 50 years.

Ah yes, but no one thought he would be doing that 10 years ago. Step-by-step, Elon has a habit of surprising those that doubt him.
If we continue like this instead of being overpopulated it could well turn out to be the contrary. The new generation, the one which has a smartphone stuck to their brain 24/7 is said to have a lower life expectancy than the previous generation.
Elon might be surprised by his own surprise. I think we are going in the wrong direction.

We've gone from destinations in space to the fate of mankind. No doubt we have our problems as a species. If life gets tough, those requiring cell phones and safe rooms will probably be the first to go.
As a species, we need to learn to get along. I think WA is a good example of people from all over the world coming together with a common interest in mind. Hopefully, it won't take a threatened extinction event that causes mankind to come together.
A million years from now a fossil will be discovered of a human form holding a small box up to the side of its head. I'm sure future archeologists will be stumped as to what the purpose was for the box and why, even at the time of death, the human form continued to cling to it. lol
But rest assured, whatever happens, there will always be cockroaches and politicians. Life goes on. :-)
