surprising uses of twitter
Who would have thought little birds with hash tags could deliver so much?. For some time I've looked for a really useful reason to use Twitter.
All I know is that they use the hashtag as a calling sign. Throughout the ages the "hashtag" has been a sort of catch all symbol. I've heard it called the sharpe in grade school. In later years it has been called the octothorpe. Both words appear not to be recognizable now.
It has given me the impression that twitter is a sort of catchall social media. Sort of like a dust collector.
This little symbol and media platform packs a lot of punch however. It is a device to give this media outlet a special flavor! It is a directory identifier which can amplify a find and in great numbers. Think of a flock of birds ranging along the information highway.
One bird may not have much lifting power. But when you have twenty or more under a canopy you can soar aloft.
Enjoy the lift from twitter here my fellow members!

We have not as yet tweeted, but shall endeavor to learn more. You have clarified it for us here, thank you.
I always try to throw in a few hashtags on my tweets, you can then search using the tag to see where you are showing.
Have to admit I'm very green on how twitter works. But this tells me I need to learn its in and outs.
thanks
I use hashtag on Instagram with good results so will start using them on Twitter also thanks for sharing
Thanks for this. Except for Instagram I’m a ghost on social media. No Facebook, no twitter or anything like that. Since joining here I’ve realized I might have to reconsider soon.
