Summer chores
Today my son and daughter in law are visiting from Texas. Their arrival has been a blessing. They have been very helpful Their help has been invaluable. Over the months there has been a fine film of mold dust.
This has settled over everything. The rain creates streaks that look like burrowing worms in the sideboard! They got the more menial tasks done earlier. Washing the cars, and horrors taking up the floor of the chicken house Manure and all
By comparison cleaning windows is child's.play. It was great to hear the power diven water after washing away another year of grime!
This wasn't all!
There is
- remove and replace basketball hoop
- establish large planters for side of driveway
- get and embed railroad ties on driveway and
- make a Craig s list account to acquire services and establish tasks
- remove goat stand ( a vestigial fitting on our property)
- fix dogs yard
- relandscape
- trim tree limbs below 6 feet

On vacation now, but into my garden full bore as well........can't wait for those great, fresh tomatoes!

Nothing quite as severe Mike, but thanks for sharing.
Just tending to and nurturing my tomatoes, eggplant, celery root, summer squash, winter squash, hot & sweet peppers and yes, all the beautiful herbs.
It is work, but the rewards are the bounty.
Don't work too hard and be grateful of those that are always there to lend a helping hand.

I like doing chores in the summertime as i am more motivated with the sun shining which creates an overall good mood. Usually i use the weekends to do thorough cleaning starting from the inside out. When the cold winter days are coming, then i will withdraw to indoor activities.
