Regional e-commerce regions
The marketable regions are in constant flux. Location, location, location is important in our e-commerce and marketing equation.
This regional demographic gives us a straight shot at the new US. Note that Cascadia in the US Pacific northwest reached over to encompass Victoria and Vancouver BC, Canada! It is a fact that geographic trends, even political geography are being defined by trade much more frequently.
This trend is emerging worldwide. German, French and UK invasion is reaching Eastward into EasternEurope and Russia. The western armies are moving east again for the first time since the end of WWII. The new reality is an economic demographic
We are uniquely posed in WA to be at the forefront of this in freelancing and entrepreneurship! What a winning place to be!

Hi Mike, I had to dig deep to find your, post I hope that a lot of folks get to read this.
The world is becoming a borderless place and e-commerce is leading the charge in breaking down our concepts of nation confines and walls.
When you view America it is like many countries rolled into one, each with their own cultural identities, even reading comments and articles from folks of the various regions you can detect separate nuances.
This map really defines those boundaries and it is a phenomenon that is happening all around the world.
If we become aware of this as marketers it can enable us to approach our various targeted markets and consumers with a new and unique focus.
I can sit in the back blocks, listening to the bird's song the water babbling in the stream while creating a website for someone on the other side of the world, while they are tucked up in bed.
" Viva la e-commerce revolution"
I say.
Thank you for sharing, this is something every aspiring online marketer should take on board.
We are more and more becoming a global community, and within that, there are new capitals emerging
It's everywhere, Mike. In the Philippines, petrol keeps on increasing in price and so with other products.

Mike, thank for sharing this interesting map. Having lived in both the Front Range and the Texas Triangle, I can see why these are getting classified as ecommerce regions.
I hope that you have a great weekend.
I find it interesting Sondra that Texas and Colorado even though they don't actually join are, in a similar mix. This isn't the first time I've noticed this.

Thanks Mike,
As usual KS, NE and northward are considered “flyover” geography!
Where the population is more sparse the impact is discounted. But that’s where I’ll always be!
