New Affiliate site logo
The image above represents the logo for my new "make me a wealthy affiliate" site. One of the first elements I posted about here in Wealthy Affiliate is branding. You need to put a nucleus around your message when you put it out there for delivery!
The centerpiece of effective branding is an effective logo. In American pioneer days the primary logo was appropriately enough the brand. This put your property out on the open range. It was quite effective in dealing with thieves and rustlers.
Your property represents you, whether as a trading commodity or a service Essential to the concept is your brand's uniqueness. It must be distinguishable for easy identification. It also must be designed to foil counterfeit efforts.
Numbers and letters have curves and angles of every order. Certain combinations like B and 8 can be altered and forged easily. O and o uniquely designed are a challenge to imitate Likewise placement of angled ciphers such as 1, 4, M and W and A must be positioned for ease of eye detection and to foil counterfeiters!
Identification is an essential element that we must constantly wrestle with. Coding is one of the earliest approaches to address this need. Morse code, designed in the original days of branding helped in the effort.
In subsequent years coding became progressively more complex. In the wars of the 20th century and today, wars have been fought and lost on the basis of coding. By the 1970s super fast transmitted coding algorithms made deciphering of code impossible without machine assistance.
Now the job of coding uniqueness has become even more of a chore. Many 'progressive" businesses are using two factors and three factor authentication to address specific identity tags. It can be a chore as there are time lags built in to accessing data. It often requires having to go to a separate email address
Also, character mixes are getting more complex with upper and lower case. Special symbols have also been added to add the authority of complexity to the deciphering design!
As we work on portraying the unique flavor of our businesses ma we go forth determined to give a clear message to our most valuable asset...our customers!

I think May needs to be my "create a logo"month. I've been putting it off for far too long.
How did you go about creating your logo? I'm just curious to know which site you used.
